I knew sky would make a big deal of this.
It was said over a week ago that Kane would be given an extra break and would not play in first game vs City.
You can read that both ways. Either his ankles are knackered or doesn’t want to play vs city

And it's about time fans and indeed the club, decided whether we want to be a friendly club or ruthlessly successful.

We've had so many players over the years we've had a soft spot for that weren't actually good enough for where we wanted to be. And we're back in that position again.
Fans have this soft spot for Moura because of that hat trick. That was over 2 years ago now. Before and since he's spent more time running into the nearest defender to win a free kick. That hasn't helped us and it's actually pretty dull to watch.
Moments of genuine skill are lost in game after game of nothing.
Winks got charity for far too long because he's a local lad and academy product. He's been shit for years and nowhere near top 4 team quality. It's only really this season, possibly because a lot of stadium fans have had to watch on TV, with commentary, replays etc that he's been exposed.
Lamela... Seems to have lived off his behaviour in the Battle of the Bridge. A game where we threw away a league title! The rabonas looked great but we all know it's because he can't kick a ball with his right foot.
Dier, Davies, same story of "they're OK as back up"
But are they? Is anyone named in the 25 man squad actually "backup" anymore?
I'd say no. I'd say everyone in the 25 man squad should have a part to play and if they are always letting people down they need to be replace

Not turning up to your place of employment is different to not being available for a game due to fitness.
He's had his holiday post Euros. Now he needs to start training to he ready to play at some point.
 
It's funny how fickle fans are.
When we're buying someone, everyone is egging them on to cause a stir and saying the clubs taking the piss with how much they want.

When one of ours is wanted it's the complete reverse.
