It certainly wouldn’t in a ‘normal’ 9-5 job!

FFP is a terrible idea in the first place. "you are rich? yes you are allowed to buy better players than the poorer team with fewer fans"Easy. The guy who owns the country owns the football club and also owns the sponsors. He secretly pays the sponsors the same amount as he pays for the the two players and the sponsors pay the club the same amount in increased “sponsorship” to balance the books.
Or they just tell UEFA and FFP to do one. that seemed to do the trick last time.
I think it's pretty fair to say that most fans are hypocrites when push comes to shove, fanaticism doesn't always go hand in hand with logic and reason...It's not the same at all. We're excited that we're going to a good CB that is turning up to training etc.
We're a bit annoyed at Kane because he's reportedly not turned up for training because he's trying to force a move away.
Honestly I don't think there's any other rational way to react to it. I'm not going to be annoyed that Atalanta are losing a good player and I'm not going to be happy for City if he goes.
I think it's really unfair that you're essentially saying that us Spurs fans are hypocrites![]()

Nah your alright.
We don't have any problems. It's Spurs who are in a spot here. Massive debts and an unhappy star player who wants to leave.
Why should we sweat?
We know who we are ...Champions of England !

They could fine him a Million, and whilst a massive amount,he would have made it back in a few months. So a week of his new salary at Shitty...These guys earn so much, losing a couple of hundred grand means nothing to them.
Arcspace posted a guardian article further up the thread
The assumption could well be that the "gentleman agreement" if it existed, was we would sell him if an acceptable bid came in for him. City DID put in a bid in (£100m + players) earlier, but it clearly wasn't acceptable.Exactly this should have been concluded weeks ago, we should have told City and Kane at the start of the window, here is our value, we will honour our "gentlemans agreement" and sell reluctantly at this value. But the deadline should have been weeks ago. Because we need to find replacements.
Thanks for your input, Charlie. Now go put on your three-piece suit for your one client like a kid playing dress up.Harry has given his all for this football club and got next to nothing in return. Only very recently did the slap-head put him on the sort of money he long before deserved and again he gave his all.
When he goes he will lose not an ounce of respect from me. I won’t like seeing him in the colours of a rival club but God speed to him I hope he wins at least the trio of an FA cup, a Premier league, and a European Champions league in his IMO three remaining years as Englands most prolific striker- he certainly won’t win more than a mediocre league cup if he stays here!
And your inability to see the comparison makes you even dumber. Really dumb and stupid. This is one of the dumbest comments I've read on here.
Is Romero refusing to train? this isn't the same thing, at all.....
There is nothing wrong with Kane wanting to leave, many of us me included feel he is entitled to go somewhere and try and win some trophies as we aren't matching his ambition.
But there is a right way to conduct yourself, its disrespectful to the fans and the other players not to report in for training, and he's on a 3 year contract so he should be in work.
It's that simple
Absolutely ^If it isn't true then Harry will issue a statement saying wait a minute I'm due tomorrow back at training, this is a completely false report, I'm not pushing for a move away, and all will be rosy.
If he doesn't do precisely that then stop blaming others and recognise that it is Kane and his own representatives pushing for the move. Why try to deflect the blame? What happens is on the player...can't blame his agent as the player ultimately dictates what he does too or can go public if he fundamentally disagrees with what his agent has done
If Man City do the Grealish deal, how could they possibly afford Kane and still be within financial fair play?
So what your basically saying is sporting contracts are meaningless because he wants to leave and we should sell him for less than his value or we are oppressing his human rights or something? the poor lamb on his £200k a week.it will take multiple intravenous doses of Valium to achieve calm on the Harry Kane issue here as nobody it seems is respecting the right of the individual to choose his own career path. His mind is made up- he wants to leave so if he stays because he is priced out of the market what sort of HK will be playing for Spurs this season but a highly paid employee that doesn’t want to be here- not good at all !
Falling out of love with football. If City get Grealish for the reported fee they will have spent over £900m on players under Pep Guardiola. He’s a boyhood Villa lad. Harry is a boyhood Spurs player
You blame LevyArcspacE and yes we had a whole year not spending. That was during a period where Liverpool scored 97 points and didn’t get the title because of these sportswashers with their arab sugar daddy. So chances are we could have spent 100m and still come up with nothing.
The game is fucked. Sugar daddies is the only way to win and that sucks, we hate Woolwich but they are run the right way, and look how far they’ve slipped because of it. Run as a self sustaining club and look how far they have fallen. Look how far we are falling as another self sustaining club. United haven’t got close to a title after Fergie in this era of City, Chelsea, PSG etc ruining club football.
Add mustard????
Do you really believe Kane and his agent have not sounded out the market before taking this action (of not turning up for training)...?Different situation in my view. Firstly Romero has returned to training, he’s not refused to train or not turned up. Secondly Spurs have made an offer and entered negotiation with the selling club. As far as I’m aware there have not been any formal offers or negotiations for Kane so him going on strike or not turning up is just silly.
