Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Dont know if your a multi or not, but Harry Kane is definitely not fucking Sol Campbell
What’s the difference , they both turned out to be dickheads who fucked the club over to further their own ends. Kane can go wherever he wants once the suitors match the clubs valuation, not throw a wobbly because he can’t get his own way.

I blame Kane for this
You fat slag

got room for one more that table?

Kane isn't and has never been Tottenham through and through. If some fans finally realise this then they would act a little differently I think.

Kane has genuine ambition. We don't. It really is as simple as that. We have a chairman who clearly hasn't got a clue. We've just appointed a sacked manager that made a good Wolves side look woeful in his final season, and was only appointed out of complete and utter desperation, and are also left scrambling around in the transfer market for players other big teams don't want.

I can only think Levy has photo's of Son that he doesn't want out in public for him to sign up for longer to endure this absolute shower.

Fair points but I do recall this time four years ago Spurs were on the up and up but since then things have gone somewhat pear shaped. Poch knew a rebuild was necessary and made that plain but it cost him his job. Levy brought in the “Stale one” to replace him and atrophy set in... why then would a world class player not have second thoughts when every supporter in the country both of Spurs and every other club have witnessed this diabolical Daniel Levy/ENIC catastrophic implosion or would you call it something else?
Agreed, but it would be pretty short sighted to just assume that the trajectory would only continue upwards, and Levy has long since been reputed for being tight with wages/transfer funds so lack of sufficient backing shouldn't have been a bolt from the blue either.

Point remains, he hasn't a leg to stand on even with his tales of a gentleman's agreement, City either pay up or piss off, we are under no obligation to make this as easy for them and him as possible, and right now it doesn't even seem like there has been a bid, let alone one rejected.

I also think a point that has been lost in all the furore, how shitty is it of him to not even have the decency to show up and speak to the new Manager in person? As far as I can tell we have not hassled him whilst he was focusing on bottling another final, nor whilst he was having his r&r in the Bahamas (paid for by his wages from THFC I should imagine) and during that time I'm sure Paratici, Nuno and Levy would all have been itching to talk to him and sort the situation out.

Instead he waits until now to just not turn up with no heads up.

(All as has currently been reported, there may be more to the story that we are as yet unaware of)

Can anyone contradict themselves more in one post than this? I think not.

Lack ambition = Selling one of the best Strikers in the World
Lack ambition = We must sell Kane so we can invest

I'm OK with Kane leaving, I don't support Kane I support Spurs. I do think if he is to be sold then we should be getting a fee in-line with what one of the best strikers in the World with 3yrs left on his contract should command. If this fee is not stumped up then he's not sold and he should remain at Spurs. Simple as that.

I do also think that we look really slow when he's in the team, I want a high pressing team again, I don't think Kane can do that anymore, so is he a reason why we've been shit (the dinosaur's default tactics aside)?

In line with the above, I support Spurs not Kane schtick, which means that I will NOT wish him well at a rival club, I hope his ankles give out completely and he never scores a goal for them. I hope he fails on every single level possible. You see by wishing him well you are wishing City well. Do you actually want to see City lift a Cup!??! What if we play them in another final again, you wish him well then, hope he gets to lift his Cup instead of us? Do me a favour!

I've never booed an ex-Spurs player other than Campbell, I won't do so with Kane should he leave. That said, as with Bale their behaviour is important to me a fan that pays +£1k a year every year to watch them play for my Club. For some players who have created their brand around being "one of their own" comes certain responsibilities on how to go about your business at your club.

All this "I wish him future success" talk we hear....

.......How many of these people get a warm glow inside when Kyle Walker picks up his latest human rights abuse infused trophy?

"Ah, but he's not 'one of our own'" they may protest.....

In which case that shit ought to mean something afterall then..... A more respectful level of conduct and so forth.

Harry owes it to all those kids who think the world of him and he is their idol.
They have his shirt, he is the England skipper and he fucks around like this.
Do the right thing Harry and get back out onto the park and train.

Again, I've not once said he's doing the right thing by not turning up for training.

But keeping him isn't an option any longer, in my opinion. Too much damage has been done already.

From the BBC

"Harry Kane, a transfer target for Manchester City, has not returned to the Tottenham training ground as expected on Monday morning amid speculation over his future.

The striker was scheduled to have coronavirus testing on Monday before starting training on Tuesday.
Kane has had a three-week break after helping England reach the Euro 2020 final.

Spurs have offered no explanation for why the 28-year-old did not turn up."

This is confusing, does this mean he was supposed to show up to the ground for his Covid test?
According to this he isn't due to start training until tomorrow.

Are we all dancing around here off the back of Sly Sports fake news?

He was supposed to show up for his covid test and preliminary medical checks before starting fitness work tomorrow. But he hasn’t showed up at all.

We refused to sell Modric to Chelsea, he continued to play well for us and we sold him a year later to Real Madrid. I'm quite happy for us to keep Kane for another year and I'm sure he will be a productive player because he is too good, and too driven, not to be.
He wants to be top PL goal scorer, he can’t afford to take a year out on top of the inevitable injury breaks he’ll continue to have. Wherever he is next year, he’ll want 20 PL goals.

How are we in the driving seat? Since when has it started to be a good thing for any club to keep an unhappy player around?

If Kane is forced to stay and he plays he'll get abuse the moment supporters insist he's not giving 100%. Even at the back end of last season you could clearly see his performance level drop.
I think the general feeling was that he isn't the type to sulk and not give 100% effort, but then again I wouldn't have thought he was the type to bunk off training either.

He signed a 6 year contract without a get out clause linked to team performance...he can't just conjure up some clause from thin air and expect it to stick...

Like I've already said, contracts mean little in football these days. That's just how it is. It helps us in regards to negotiating a better price for him but little else. At no point when he signed that contract did I automatically think that's it, he's staying with us for a further 6 years regardless of what we do or don't do as a club. And neither should anyone else have.

Can't put the tweet up, as useless putting pictures up.
Just seen Graham Roberts tweeting Sky Sports news, saying,
"You should get your facts right before you put headlines on your screen, the Times sport (@Times Sport)
.Tottenham Hotspur striker is not due to start fitness work until tomorrow with Spurs if he returns a negative test for Covid-19.

At the end of the day., he wants to go. That is clear. We either sell him now while we can still get an insane amount of money

City have yet to offer an "insane amount of money" and if reports are to be believed; aren't prepared to do so.

for a player perhaps just past his peak,

He's AT his peak.... Why would City want an over the hill striker when they can afford anyone they want?

or we keep an unhappy player that we all know wanted to move elsewhere and didn't not by his own choice. The latter never works out well.

Worked out fine with Modric.

I think his legacy with us has already been tainted, keeping him now would be ridiculous. It's time everyone moved on.

My biggest worry is how Levy and Espirito Santo will spend the Kane money. We're looking like a mid-table club at best, which genuinely top players will be mad enough to sign for us?

Then we KEEP him and continue with our rebuild on OUR terms.

I think the general feeling was that he isn't the type to sulk and not give 100% effort, but then again I wouldn't have thought he was the type to bunk off training either.

Well clearly a lot of people were wrong. As I've said already, he's not and has never been Mr. Spurs. All this "Harry Kane, he's one of our own" has only ever been nonsense. If he stayed with us for his entire career it would have been because we actually showed ambition, and won things. Not because of his love for the club. The truth is you'll be hard to find a more unambitious club around.

Levy’s own words on Berba’s departure back in 2008:

“I don't think Berbatov treated this club with the respect that we honestly deserved. We put him on the map.
“I think he's an outstanding player, but he signed a long-term contract with this club and I think he should have stayed.
“I had so many conversations with him. He kept saying it was about his ambition to play for Manchester United. It wasn't a money issue. We offered him a new contract and he wasn't even interested in discussing it.
“The reality is, in modern football, the players have all the power.”

Half the time they don’t come to an end because a player forces a move and the team folds like they should feel sorry for the player. Bullshit.

No, mostly they don't come to an end because the selling club would rather get a fee for a player than have him walk for a free when his contract has ended. In reality, a contract in football is mostly a bargaining chip for transfer fees. Players could take a chance on shorter term deals, but then it's less financial security for them, as nobody can predict if they will get a career-changing injury in the next game.

Kane wants his move, but 3 years left means City have to pay stupid money.

I think the general feeling was that he isn't the type to sulk and not give 100% effort, but then again I wouldn't have thought he was the type to bunk off training either.
If the shine wasn’t off with the Neville interview, or his brother’s clumsy bullshit at the wedding, it needs to be now. It’s time to take off the hero-tinted glasses. “One of our own”—shows you how much that means to him.
