So from Ali G's latest vid it appears:
- We plan to make a move for Vlahovic
- Romero is done
- Tomiyasu is expected to join post Olympics (Japan are out now)
Add Gollini and Gil to that group and that is a very impressive collection of young talent. This also assumes Kane stays.
I'm surprised that:
- we are not linked with any midfielders - arguably was as much of a problem as the centre backs last year. I guess Levy is banking on Ndombele and GLC performing and Skipp having a big impact. If all of those things happen we are probably fine.
- We are not linked to any attacking RB's. I guess the plan is for Tomiyasu to be first choice as lopsided RB or in a back 3 and then trust Doherty as our attacking option. Not ideal as I think he'd be our weakest 'first XI' player if all expected deals go through. I imagine a top quality RB is a priority for future windows.
Tottenham are in preliminary talks with Wolves about signing Conor Coady, with Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo keen to be reunited with the 28-year-old England defender in north London. (Football Insider)
A lot of people who keep pedalling this would look utterly idiotic if it went tits upHow can this be news at all?
Oh, a player is ready to fly out to join his club once a deal is completed. That's why a player signs for another club in the first place, and thousands of players do that every year.
True, he could take the train, or car or bus or boat or horse (or any other means of transport I did not include) - but I doubt that's the point the reporting is trying to make.
would be very happy with Conor Coady and Romero as our centre backs

The problem is he is going to cost us a shit ton of money. An English player moving from one PL club to another is never cheap. Also, he's 28 - we can't build a team up around himhaven’t watched enough of Coady despite seeing a good number of Wolves games. What are his strengths and maybe weaknesses?
