Yep. 1 more season of Kane banging them in. Then we get 100m+ For him at the end of the season. Which leaves us with plenty of time to scout & sort out his replacement & another addition too. Might just be the best we can hope for.

Lets be honest, he is a personality void, equips him perfectly to grey man his way through celebrity life as it draws little attention.

Up to now there's not actually been anything about him that screams "top bloke", just an absence of anything negative, which by default puts you above many celebrities these days.

And obviously as Spurs fans we had been more inclined to adore him due to coming through the Academy and scoring goals for fun.

Here's a scenario - Kane stays, does permanent damage to his ankle this year, ends his career at Spurs. Value, £0.00.

I say sell him quickly, for £120m (ish) and buy a few players who WANT to play for the club. Sooner the better.


...oh and we go on to win the league, of course.

Here is another scenario. Kane goes to City and scores 40 goals, wins the prem and CL with City. We spend the money but buy a few duds and without a world class striker have trouble scoring and hang around 8-9th.

Anything could happen but if we sell we should get fair market value not be forced into a City knock down price.

Here's another scenario.

We sell Kane for 120, reinvest the funds in the smartest possible way, and going into Christmas we're top of the league. Asteroid hits WHL on Boxing Day and everyone dies.

I mean, it could happen.

Here's another scenario...

The asteroid flies over WHL and smashes into the Etihad Stadium. Luckily nobody is hurt, except Kane, who does permanent damage to his ankle as he runs to make sure his Amex card is safe. The stadium is so badly damaged that Shity have to play the whole season at Old Trafford and lose every game.

Quite possible, I reckon.

You're right.

It's almost as if we shouldn't make rash and panicky decisions relating to hundreds of millions of dollars based on the possibility of Kane suffering a career ending injury.
 
Looking forward to the opening game now,regardless if Kane is playing for us, Man City or fucking Mars.
I'm pretty sure this will unite the remaining players to push a bit harder.
If rumours are true H K isn't so popular in the dressing room and hasn't been for a while.

It won't really matter unless we get more quality in. We're 3 or 4 players short. And that's not even thinking about Kane's replacement if he goes.
