Kane was never playing against City regardless - there were reports weeks ago that the club was planning on sitting him for a match or two to help recover from the Euros.

I don’t think I would be surprised to see a huge bid from City now. Obviously they have talked it down but with Chelsea spending £120m on Lukaku it puts Chelsea with an arguably more compete team (not better) than City’s in prime position for a title challenge.
If City go into the season without an elite striker it’s an obvious hole and look in the CL final how blunt they looked without a decent CF.
Chelsea with Lukaku and City with Grealish have also set the price mark, Kane is a better player than both of them by a good distance.

I have also considered him as a player to sign this summer. He can also play as a COM (but not often employed as one).
However, I read on some from that PSV fans consider him inconsistent. He's still young and knows England & Spurs, so for around £15m+ I reckon it could be worth a punt.
