One poster on the forum where you must obey the rules has just questioned something "Trix" has said about Kane.

A&C in like flint.

This again?

We had a lot of this in the New Manager thread and I had to get a bit tasty with the banstick. Having checked, he's been at it more than once so we can do without him or his trolling.

Once again, if anyone else wants to get clever with the ratings, you go ahead, do what you have to do. And we'll do likewise.
Why are they so precious about their "ratings" over there? Why even have them if they get stroppy if you use them?

The only player plus money I’d accept is LaPorte because that’s what we need. The money part will still have be in excess of £130m

Jesus???? If he’s so good they already have him as their only striker and they’re happy to get rid

Silva excellent player but we’d have to fit him in why bother get the money and buy who we actually want.

As for the rest, don’t call us we’d call you (except KDB)

That makes the assumption that these players being offered are ones we'd actively be seeking in isolation of any Kane deal.

I've already said, I don't see that SIlva would otherwise be on our radar..... I'm not convinced we're gonna play with a #10/CAM and I'd rather a more dynamic Son-like player on the right of a front 3; not some auxilery playmaker..... For the equivalent of 60m we could buy someone exact to our requirements.... Rather than say "ah, well he's decent; that'll do a job".

(Btw, I like BS as a player, so that's not the issue.)
Yep ok that's fair enough if that's your view on how we would use BS - I guess you're saying that part exchange is only inferior because it gives us a very limited pool from which to choose players. But say it was just Laporte and cash - assuming it was the right amount of cash - then surely you'd be keen on that wouldn't you? Given that he's exactly what we need. Say Laporte plus £130m cash, would you accept that? I probably would.

All ultimately pointless I know because none of this is actually going to happen... lol :)

BILD are not that accurate but I definitely would take Denis Zakaria as an upgrade on Sissoko.
100%. He'd be a starter for me.

Although I rate him highly, I think we need to cut ties with Ndombele. Third manager (Fourth if you include Mason) who hasn't fancied him. His attitude ruins his ability. Wages and contract kength may be an issue, but the talent is there. I think he needs to go back to France.

What the latest with Kounde? That seems to be taking long time?

I bet Roman has fucked the deal! Fucking typical Roman! HURRY UP AND JUST SPEND THE FUCKING MONEY YOU CHEAP CUNT!

Why is it only Chelsea’s transfers that take so long FFS etc

Am I doing this right ArceSpace?

As there have been reports about it. It's a discussion of hypotheticals. I can see why that would be over your head though.

As a 'glancing curiosity' sure; to tunnel vision one's stance on the matter around it would seem a bit futile however.

If just for funzies, why bunker down and start casting others as clue-less crazies?

Yes, if today would be deadline day. But it's not, is it?

Errrrr that's irrelevant to the point put to you...... We've not spoken of time-frames..... I guess my point is made if you now feel the need to move the goal-posts.

Anyway; I'm bickering despite my better judgement.... Last word is yours if you want it.

In an ideal world, we'd keep Kane and buy Laporte (ha ha, yes I know).

If we are to lose Kane and get Laporte plus £120m or something, I'd take that (assuming Laporte would want to come here, that part we don't know). As you say, Laporte would be a good player in a position where we are weak. Then we have a good bit of wedge to go and try and get a Kane replacement.

I'm still hoping we keep Kane and tell City to get fucked, but I accept it might not happen.

We'd be in a much better ballpark than the aforementioned BS + EL + 50m, yes.... Comparing that equation to yours we'd have 80m additional cash instead of BS.
