Definitely the biggest competitor to City
Well, we got Romero way before Chelsea got Lukaku. What makes you think if Romero won't play v City that Lukaku will play on the weekend. Stop being such a melt for no reason...Chelsea making sure they sort their weakness out before the season, hence why they are so successful and win trophies unlike us. We have the same shit defence starting V city and still no resolution to this Harry Kane shambles. Romero is great but it’s no good if we are partnering him with donkeys like Sanchez and Dier. When do we ever learn?

What’s amazing about the Chavs is that they spend money like that, *after* signing Werner.
Endless resources isn’t just about getting any player. It’s the fact that failing in the transfer market has no consequences.

They're a sugardaddy club, we aren't. Fuck their slave-owned, Siberian trophies.Agreed but they win
Trophies mate. They compensate for the odd awful transfers by constantly winning trophies and constantly earning the revenue through being successful.
Their revenue doesn’t come close to covering outgoings. Agree with your broader point, but they’re still 100% a billionaire’s toy.Agreed but they win

Although I am not very sure about this call of yours I will ask you if you can see any other possible reason why RL will be of use to Chelsea? Have you considered how his holdup play will free Werner in behind and give more space for Havertz to create in front of him? There are other tactical considerations for a striker besides how many goals he scores...like the fact that his bullying of any CB in the PL (and he will bully any and every CB in the PL) will afford more space and time for other players. No they aren't. Yeah, thought he looked surprisingly mediocre at the Euros, as heard Utd etc were after him.
Maybe he's better than that and was just nervous, so we can pick him up cheaper?
in the last few months he's played the Goons, United and Chelsea and looked pretty comfortable in all of those games and went unbeaten.
