Let's look at a player when he was two years younger and 50 games less experienced, because that's what matters when looking at signing a player today, is that how you think it's done?

So Halland, Sancho, Buendina all have far worse stats from two years ago, so are you saying they are not worth signing?

Sometimes I wonder at the sanity of some posters ... just how ridiculous can you make yourself look?

Well, that experience has really massively benefitted him.

Cause one season after his once-in-a-lifetime-wonder-season, he started 28 games in a row during which he scored 0 assisted 0.
This season, after experiencing such a brilliant start he has had 3 games, scored 0 (even despite Neves putting him through 1 vs 1 with Lloris for example - but hey, his return is only because of the crap players he shares team with, right o_O ) and assisted 0.

Talking about sanity... you talk about progress and recent seasons, totally discarding the fact that his last season was awful. Drop back to his normal level. Literally - there is no trend - he had 1 good season and he has been crap before and after it.
In your logic - yes, if Haaland would have scored buttload of goals for 1 season and was dud before AND after it then yes - his value would be lower.

In terms of priority I would say

1) Rb - Tanganga has been good but we need an attacking option.

2) attacking winger - Someone that can run with the ball is essential in the way Nuno wants to play. Adama would be a very very very good signing.

3) creative CM or box to box type CM - yep its needed but other 2 bigger priorities.

think P1 has to be creative midfielder we only have Kane that can see a pass everyone else has to look look & look again before they hit a forward pass

Ndombele won't be going it looks like we are stuck with an unmotivated player until next summer.
I'm still waiting for the official line of we tried but couldn't get anyone else in speech because it's surely being typed up as we speak.

Dont worry mate, liverpool seem to be interested in Traore. Then we definitely wont have a chance of getting him anyway.

I wonder how all our ‘deadwood’ and dombele feel about themselves after being actively marketed and not a single deal has been done. Hardly a rumour for any of them

For dombele maybe he should lace his boots up a bit tighter and be part of something
