Aurier (for all his faults) has more goals and assists in the PL than Traore in fewer games. A lot of people seem to think that splashing £40 million on Traore is great business and getting rid of Aurier is a must.
Baffling.
Aurier is a car crash waiting to happen in defence; getting rid of him is a must.
Adama Traore is a badly compromised attacker and we shouldn't spend anywhere near 40m for him.

Well I am sorry then. I suppose that 3 clean sheets have erased all the issues and concerns regarding their ability and they are all flawless CBs.

You're being needlessly facetious; I didn't read the rest of your post.

My point:

"Decent" is a pretty meek level and very faint praise; barely any praise at all(*).

To say that Romero is the only "decent" CB we have is frankly poo-poo.

(*We clashed about Vinicius the other day over the word "Decent" too.... I'm not sure you have a strong grasp of it's connotations.)

He has a great engine. Put him in the Traore position as a winger and he wouldn’t need to do much defending. I am not advocating this as a solution , just pointing out that his attacking stats are way better than Traore and in fewer games. He chips in with goals too.

Is there the additional window with the Championship this year?

Because CCV and Clarke are the other players still unaccounted for.

Fucking CCV hurt himself in Portugal and torpedoed his move, I know it. That cash would have helped.

Seems contradictory info out there (and maybe still moving ?) - but yes there is a 'domestic' transfer window still

Premier League and EFL clubs can still do business up until 5pm on Saturday, 16 October.
Following consultation between the leagues, Premier League clubs can still do business with EFL sides for a further 11 days after the first deadline.

Disagree. Winger is a far different position than outside back. As a right back, aurier gets time and space to make crosses. A winger is usually under more pressure while crossing. Wingers are usually 1 on 1 against full backs. Attacking full backs are usually 1 on 1 against wingers who are poorer defenders.

In addition, I don't think Aurier has the ability to take people on that a winger requires.
