You have the laugh at Barcelona and their attendant press. 29 days ago they bought out Betis' share in Emerson and presented him saying he had a "great future" at the club. The buy-out clause was set at ¡¡¡€300 million!!!

Saturday they say he isn't for sale. Sunday he starts against Getafe. To be fair, he wasn't great and got subbed, but hey-ho.

Monday am they say he isn't for sale. By the afternoon he was. Today Mundo Deportivo are now saying that actually he was shit, his signing a "fiasco", but nevertheless, FCB have done "bwilliant business".

"More than a club" apparently

Can't see Wolves letting go of Neves AND Traore today...

I don't understand why Jack Clarke isn't already on loan at a championship club - he needs consistent football to build his confidence and physique up.

Surely he must realise he isn't going to get any first team playing time this season?

That club seem in total meltdown.

Well, regarding Romero I just can't make any super-bold statements, as he has never played meaningful minutes on EPL level. Very possible that he will be superb or excellent. Can't throw those words around just yet, can I.

But regarding Sanchez performances from his 2nd season to end of last season + Vinicius last season - sorry, I stand my ground - both of them I would describe as not sufficient, inadequate, sub-bar etc. If I say decent, it is close do adequate. Here I might be mistaken, as English is my 2nd language. But defender who gets pushed off ball like Sanchez did against Gundogan, or defender who plays in back-line that concedes as many goals as we did last season can't be adequate for Spurs or decent enough to be relied upon. Same goes for striker who lets ball bounce off him like he'd be a lump of wood.
They might be decent on level of footballing world in general. If scale includes 8th level amateur teams up to CL winners. But not decent on level that even club like Spurs needs and requires.
Tbh it's hard to judge the defenders under Mourinho-ball and with Sissoko/Ndombelly/Winks for 'protection'.

I know it's early days but the addition of Skipp to complement PEH has really transformed how solid we are. Dele's running has helped with this too.

I wouldn't be prioritising a CB for now. The time to upgrade at LCB is next summer but for this season Romero plus one other behind a very solid midfield is sufficient.

Has anyone been watching much of Jeremy Doku? Totti?

Either way, we'll get to see him in action when we play them
