Son is our starting LW, we have gone over this before.

Son playing striker does nothing to stop Kane and Son from being overplayed. It doesn’t help the attack when down a goal and we want to bring on another goal threat.

How you can be this thick and whine about others being Spurs fans is insane.
 
Son isn't a CF he doesn't like being bashed about, Kane isn't great as a CF as he now doesn't like being given a bish & brash, and with the way the refs are looking at the rules this season there will be more bish brash

Son is whatever the manger wants to use him as - how can everyone and his dog understand that yet you can't - again as a supposed Spurs fan did you not watch the many, many times Son has played as a striker in Kane's absence - I guess not.

I fully agree players need rotating - which is why we have a squad - but seeing as we don't play with two strikers then having a third striker for a very rainy day (and we have Dane Scarlett who we want to develop) would not appear to be either the Club's or Nuno's priority - even if it is yours.
 
Fab is cooking. Emerson, Traore and Auoar in today letsgo.

Get these over the line and it will have been a fantastic window.

If it is just Emerson then it's still a great window but Traore will push it into elite territory. Auoar/another CM will be a noce bonus.

The squad will be much better than last season. Top 4 nailed on.

Interesting point, certainly in week one we saw bish and bash - but last week bish and bash got you a straight red - methinks the refs are getting things back under a bit of control.

In a way I think bish and bash suits us - we have a front seven who all are very intelligent when it comes to drawing a bit of bish and bash (Dele already has a penalty) if teams start clattering Kane and Son then get on Kane for forty goals this season 20 from the spot ...

The days when bish and bash works, even with the more lenient rules, are still a thing of the past.

I'm pretty sure it's possible to do a medical and sign a paper in another country.

Correct and that's why all our focus today needs to be on Traore and hopefully Bissouma, both already in the PL. We are weak in defensive mid, we cannot rely on Skipp and Hojberg for the whole season.our start has proved how important this area of the pitch is and if it's strong how much the defence is protected.

We needed a player that offered a greater goal threat but it looks like Spurs would prefer Traore.
 
Emerson is a great signing if it happens. However I still think we need another CB. People think after 5 games total that sanchez and Dier are changed men are lunatics! We need dependable depth! Get a CB unless he plans to play Japhet as a CB as well. Then it's a creative midfielder and another actual striker. I agree with people on here we can't just rely on Kane and Son it's killing them. We need another goalscorer. Lucas and Berg have no final product, or it's very rare. Top teams know that. And I'm sorry Traore is exactly the same. Runs at people and never scores or rarely gets the ball out from his feet. We need a clever natural goalscorer if we are keeping Lucas's and Berg not another playing of the same degree. Just my opinion anyway. Before the forum angry people strat calling me a twat!
 
for me P1 is CM, followed by a back CF who scores
we don't need another winger who can't score unless berg or lucas go
RB wise we need to move 1/2 on before we get another one
CB wise he needs to be a Left footer
can't see us getting 3 players in today the last day

As things are i dont think another CB is on the cards. We now have Romero too remember👍👍

The difference is you clearly recognise that a third striker to support Kane and Son requires replacing either Lucas or Berg - something that isn't happening this window - adding Traore is same-same but different in that he's a physical presence which we lack, but can he add an end product, that's the 40m question.

The issue isn't that we would be better off with another Soldado/Llorente/Vinicius obviously another option is always good, the issue is that Son has seen them all come and go without ever looking like being replaced. If anything the Kane / Son partnership is now better than ever so a third striker will, barring injury, just get splinters all season.

At some point our third striker needs to come from the development squad - give Dane Scarlett the chance - otherwise why do we bother with the academy at all.
