Delaney might not be a world beater but maybe a better partner than 2 of Sissoko/Winks/Lo Celso/Ndombele was for Hojbjerg last season at Spurs.
Personally not a big fan of 3 at the back.
But as there have been no rumours of Davies leaving - decent squad player equally capable of playing LB and LCB in a 3 - despite us having Reguilon and Sessegnon as LB/LWB's plus 4 CB's , so Davies has no obvious position I think he's being kept prcisely to give us the option of playing 3 at the back.
Emerson is an attacking right back. The Japanese fella is like tanganga. A center back who also plays right back. We made the right choice. We have an attacking full back and a defensive one. Good shit

I recall us sniffing around Martial at Monaco but what they ended up paying for him was nigh on double what we thought we could get him for and then they paid him big wages on top.
We signed Sissoko for the same fee as Kante and Winjaldum. But I bet those players earned a shit ton more.

For me we needed another wide player who can score goals after losing bale, we needed not 1 but 2 CBs, Sanchez and dier have started the season well but it’s 3 games, can’t expect them to have magically turned into top defenders over night. Also we’ve failed to get another striker in, which means we’re going to overplay Kane and son again.
Signed some promising looking young players, but you show our dealings to anyone at the start of this window and we would all say we need to do more . Our good start to the season is papering over this summer window.
