But how many clubs were doped with money before ENIC and how many money doped clubs did we lose domestic finals to? Its not just "we won X before and now we didnt so we are worse off now", there are other factors at play too.

To me its quite obvious that we are in a better place as a club now than we were 20 years ago, titles or no titles, but I couldnt tell you if it is thanks to ENIC or despite them.

I do however agree that we could have been even better off, had we not gone 18 months with no signing. Hopefully Levy learned alot from that.

If you could choose between debt for the best stadium in the world that all but guarantees us a stead income or a highly talented first team squad that will win things fairly often but be volatile financially, which would you choose?

Don't buy into the FFP thing, it seems to only hurt some teams sometimes.

You'd have to be proper fucking stupid to think it was a comparasion with Wigan, rather than using them as an example of how winning the odd domestic cup isnt a good measurement of club progress.

How often when the other top 6 clubs are talking about their success do you think Wigan comes up?

I'll help you zero because it is totally irrelevant there is no reason to bring them up. The only reason they are brought up is because under ENIC there is a reason to mention them that can't be immediately dismissed.

You would have to be proper fucking stupid to try and pass that off as nothing.

What more were you expecting?

Got rid of a lot of deadwood.
Got a starting centrehalf.
Got a starting right back.
Bought promising young talent with Gil and Sarr.
Improved our backup GK, and got a fee for Hart who we signed for free last year.
Introduced academy graduates Skipp and Tanganga into the mix.

Fixing our problems wasn't going to be done in one summer window.
Give Paratici time.

He shouldn't need time to fix the problem that we have no attacking options outside of Kane and Son.

He shouldn't need time to fix the fact we have zero creative players close to the first 11.

He did not get rid of a lot of deadwood either, that is pure BS, and the supposed deadwood he did move was at the bottom of the list or not deadwood at all.

He spent a whole morning compiling this post and not one person played his game. Bless him.

The Outsider The Outsider , come here and have a hug

I was in awe of his commitment to the cause.

I've got a job and a family. I don't have time to re-watch games over again to prove my point.
Off the top of my head:
City - first half, Dier failed to cut out an easy pass that any decent defender would have. City didn't get a shot away but that wasn't due to Dier, he was bypassed.
City - second half - Sanchez mugged of by Grealish who smashed it straight at Lloris
Wolves - second half, Dier lost possession in their half, ball went straight to Traore who left Sanchez for dead. Lloris came out and saved the day.
I'm sure there were more, that game was actually horrendous to watch.
watford, who were fucking poor, got into the box without having decent chances far too easily. What I would say is they seemed to get more success down our right where Tanganga had a lot more trouble than he did against City.

Here you go mate....................

The shots are almost all from outside of the box, they are garbage. That's because we are defending, this is what defending is. Any other chance has been blocked, that's what defending is, the people who have been doing this have been Sanchez & Dier.

We all know about the 1vs1 that Traore had, it's well documented, just look at the number of 1v1's that Ederson has to deal with almost every week, yet City has one of the best defensive records in the league. The oppo is going to have shots it's what happens in a game of football, if they are from outside the box, or other low % positions then they are unlikely to go in. The fact that Lloris has ONLY had to make SIX saves across 3 PL games demonstrates this, shows that we are frustrating the oppo.

If this was us shooting we'll all be up in arms at how shit we've been unable to get behind the oppo or break them down having such a lack of threat!

Are you really so dense that you cant see the connection between "we won the FA cup before ENIC and now we havent, so we are moving backwards" and using Wigan as an example to why it is not a good way to determine wether you are better or worse off as a club? I thought Woolwich was run by the dumbest fucking people in the world, but unless you are Edu or Arteta, I guess they arent.

No I see what people are trying to do with the Wigan example. What I am pointing out to you is that with every other club that we claim are around us Wigan doesn't get brought up because they have actual success.

Saying "well Wigan won a Cup would you like to be like them" is a shit argument. Used by clubs that have no success.

People might think that it is a good argument to determine whether a Cup win determines if you are a better or worse off as a club but all it does is show how weak we have been under ENIC.

Is it a choice we have though? But yeah, while I would like to say "fuck oil money", if some rich cunt bought us and spent money like Roman, I would most likely happily accept it. But we arent there, so the stadium will have to do, hopefully it also acts as a bit of pressure on ENIC, since I would assume its relative value goes up and down with our on field success.
