We wanted to improve the defence and hopefully we have with Romero and Emerson. Sods law we've looked solid as a rock without them though so far. For me though it's absolutely criminal we haven't looked at a creative midfielder and a back up striker. We're now hoping Ndombele somehow wants to start giving a fuck. One of his mates has fucked off to Watford and the other will be nowhere near first team training. It's not going to happen with him. The striking situation is just pure negligence. Even a lump like Rondon on loan would have done. It's gone well so far but a few draws and losses playing Mourinho style shite will quickly ruin the vibe.

He ripped our midfield to shreds actually.
No he didn't.......

He beats his FIRST MAN. We defended as a unit, which means he has to beat the 2nd/3rd man, he didn't do this. He created fuck all as a result, I think he managed to find just two crosses that went to a player on his team, the first a pullback that was behind his teammate which meant it was backheeled and the resulting shot was from 25yrds out and went into row Z and 20yrs wide, the 2nd was a non-pacey ball kind of lobbed to the back post to a player that was marked by two of our defenders and we won the ball.

A player that rips a team to shreds is one that creates something specific, a shot, a big chance. Not a cross that hits the first man, a stray pass, a shot that goes out for a corner.

He's a freak, a monster of a player, very exciting to watch as he skins his first man. Everyone loves this, I love this! But he has to produce something at the end of it. Teams can prepare for him, every team knows what's coming, so you double up intelligently, have the first man be aggressive with him, maybe cause him to miss place/miss time or just put pressure on him so his cross, pass or attempt to dribble the 2nd man isn't under control.

I thought he was better against Utd, who didn't defend anywhere near as good as us against them.

But even here there is very little end product, with the exception of his ball to Trincoa(??) who fucked his shot.

Solidified the defense. My guess is that next summer's signing will be attacked focused. I think we can finish in a EL spot this season, and if we get some breaks maybe finish 4th.

once again we have wasted a transfer window by not buying in the positions we need to.

If you’re happy you either know nothing about football or you have an agenda
OR

There is nothing I can do about it so I suck it up and stop acting like a pussy.

I score it 6/10. I'm more annoyed we've not got rid of some players than our incomings.

Is what it is though. We'll be ok.

Haven't you heard? According to Dan Kilpatrick, selling him next summer is an option if we want to "accelerate the process." I'd like to accelerate the process right fucking now.
But as I have said previously, it doesn't really matter if Harry stays or he goes we will be left with 1 recognized striker. Llorente, your boy, was what Levy considered pushing the boat out for Poch. Heady times back then.

At this point I'm kinda looking forward to Harry with a zimmer frame leading the line so folks can fully get what they crave.
