Poor team selection, poor individual performances, lack of options from the bench due to the South Americans going AWOL (surely massive fines should follow), lack of confidence in Ndombele, injuries, etc etc.

Moss's supposed refereeing decisions was number 37 on the list of reasons why we lost today - way behind how bright the sun was or the hardness of the pitch.

I am not sure that only as good as your last game is true.

Today he occupied 2 defenders almost all game and did what he could with the shit balls he got.

Without him there Palace could have taken even more chances so could have been worse, yes. Not sure 6-0 but potentially 4-0.
 
Bitterly disappointed with Tanganga today. No need to get booked, let alone sent off.

Bitterly disappointed with Alli today. This was his chance to be our match winner and show us how much he was improving under Nuno and he failed miserably.

I think Ndombele might have been worth a shot if we had 11 men on the field but once we were a player down we were compromised and had to focus on defence.

People think we're hopeless without Kane but today showed how much we miss someone like Son or Bergwijn to run downfield on the break.

Today 2 defenders pulled a sickie in the shade of the stout English Oak in the center of the pitch. See? All about how you integrate the info.

Not sure how removing a striker you contend got no service and was little involved in the goings on would have contributed to more goals against but we'll let it slide. And it's so much worse to lose 4-0 than 3-0 isn't it? Imagine if we had a striker that could actually move and threatened those vacationing CBs. we might have had more than 3 shots on goal...might have even scored 1 or 2.
 
I fail to see the improvements he’s making. No matter how bad Jose was we never would’ve got pumped 3-0 by Palace. Even though we looked shit, it had more to do with the defense making calamitous errors week in week out, which caused the coaches to panic.

I just don’t know what is wrong with these lads FFS. Bring Guardiola and he’ll want a sabbatical in a week. It’s obvious why we were rejected by any decent manager out there in the summer.
 
I'm very, very disappointed today.

That was poor from all the players.

Japhet's second yellow wouldn't have normally been a card (in my opinion), Not sure we played any worse when we went down to ten.

Very disappointed but I'm sure we'll play better than that next time.
 
Been working all day.I avoided the score and watched it ‘live’ when I got home around 9.30.Wow, we were extremely lucky to get nil.Absolutely shocking.It will certainly dampen down the early season expectations.
Let’s hope one or two are back in time for Chelsea-god knows what sort of side we will be able to field in France on Thursday.

The more I think about this performance, the worst it becomes. Really was one abject display, the line-up was far too negative, devoid of creativity (one fucking shot!), and I'm not enjoying the style of football at all.

We did have that striker out there today and it made no difference. There is not a player in the world that you could have replaced Kane with that would have made any difference.

4-0 or 3-0 is not an issue for this game but going forward having zero threat at scoring is a big issue.

Yep huge indictment. There is containment and there is context. To be as blunt when Palace are the opponent is pretty damn poor.

We were short of personnel but I doubt very much that this will be a one-off, even against the lesser teams.

And if we have anything but our best 11, I think that when we play the top teams it will be borderline embarrassing.
