Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He scored plenty of goals last season that weren't put on a plate for him. Put Lewandowski or Haaland in this Spurs side and they'll also have as many games against the better teams where they don't score.

Put Kane in the Man City side and no doubt he'll go right back to looking like an elite player once again.
Haaland would score 30+ for us easily. Its easier to play a pass for someone who is fast as you dont have to play the pass too close to the opposite defender who can defend it easily.

Plenty. But my point is, put better players around him and Kane will score goal after goal. As he's done year after year already for what's been a pretty ordinary side at times excluding a few years under Pochettino.
He scores a lot of goals because he gets a lot of chances. His shot conversion rate and goals above xG is bang average from what I've seen. According to Sammy it's below average.

Man City was a better team than us that year and they were big favorites. In fact they finished ahead of Liverpool in league. But we prevailed in a two game series. I dont know why we have to concede a one game match with Liverpool as a foregone conclusion.

I'm not suggesting it was a foregone conclusion, I'm saying they were big favourites for the match, and my personal opinion is we didn't lose it due to the decision to start Harry Kane. Sissoko deciding to put us a goal down against the best defence in the Premier League that season was far more pivotal.

Of course we had a chance to win the game. But we were always up against it, and a lot of players on the day performed badly, including Lucas when he came on unless I'm remembering incorrectly. I just don't like putting it down to us starting Kane.

But again, if other fans really feel that was the pivotal decision then that's fair.

You said..."Put Lewandowski or Haaland in this Spurs side and they'll also have as many games against the better teams where they don't score."

Halland would score obviously.

So you're saying it's a given that he would score against the better teams all the time? Obviously you would say that, as it suits your argument. I've already seen him play better sides for Dortmund in the Champions League and do next to nothing for sucks sake. Like Kane, he fills his boots when he's playing the likes of Schalke and Union tossing Berlin.

Go foam in your mouth or cry in a corner somewhere. The fact that you genuinely hate a player just because he did something we didn't like shows how much of a sad act you are. The whole team has been playing like utter crap on the whole. Just one or two a bit less so than others.
Nah I will continue to go about expressing my disgust on this forum. That suits me fine. You can continue making excuses and nutriding for a guy who doesnt give a crap about you. That seems to suit you.

You can do what you like. But don't make shit up to suit your agenda. I was one of the few here saying we should sell Kane weeks ago even if it meant selling him for less than we thought he was worth. And I've never said anything other than Son is world-class, so I have no idea what you were babbling about like I insult him here every week.
