Would you have told the coach nah i cant start bench me?? I think most people being honest with themselves in the biggest game of the clubs history would have said put me in im good.
Thats where the coach needs to say no youre on the bench and will be on 20 to go if needed

We have 3 other wingers on our team with a combined 1 PL goal contribution if i'm not mistaken. And I wouldn't say any of them have played particularly bad.

Yes I would have if I knew deep down that I wasn’t fit enough for my team and to do myself justice

That’s what Kane should have said

Poch should have said exactly that and started Lucas instead

So Kane was a cunt for demanding that he started and Poch was a bigger cunt for allowing it

What I would do with Kane is invite himover to the Northern Territory, take him for a drive about 15 klms north of Alice Springs and go for a long walk in amoung some of oldest landmarks in the world. If you have any sort of chip on your shoulder this will wipe it off. You just stand there and take stock of yourself. We are only here for very minute time on this earth and this experience can motivate anyone to re-evaluate themsleves and do better.

Not useless at all which is why it’s odd the reality is so scary to you that you can’t deal with it.
It’s good numbers for a tap in merchant who probably took over 250 shots in all competitions.

Are you justifying a player lying to the medical staff and manager so he can play the final at the expense of the team and player who got us there?

Kane hadn’t played football for ten week.
Even if was Palace in the Carabou 3rd round he shouldn’t have started.
He was desperate to play, the club wrongly pandered to it. If he cared, he’d have admitted it wasn’t right.

Fit or not fit he wasn’t going to do shit against Liverpool in the CL final anyway. As we know clearly now, he disappears against any decent or good side.

I’d like to think that he wasn’t fit but even if we was fit, his performance was more or less in line with how he performs against top sides anyway.

Should have never been on the pitch except as a 80th minute impact sub

I just can’t believe that people think a player of Kane’s stature was simply picked on the day, and told “you’re fit” by the medical staff.
