I’m not convinced Lewey is better than ever. I think his team setup is the best he’s had in his career and they play to his strengths. Could be similar for benzema. Finishing is definitely a trait that lasts well into the 30s.
I do agree players primes can extend a bit more than they used to but I wouldn’t rely on anything past age 32, especially for a pacey player like son.

Son is just a better all around player than Kane. Almost every advanced statistic shows Son has been a better player, particularly over the last 3.5 years. He’s got more non-PK goals, more goals above xG, better shot conversion rate, more assists, etc
Most importantly, he shows up against the big 4 at a much higher rate than Kane
But he isn’t widely even considered world class by the British media while Kane is compared to Salah, Mbappe, Messi, Ronaldo, and Lewandowski.
Kane's passing and hold up play is generally on a different planet to Son, certainly when he's on top of his game. So the "all round better player" is BS. They have completely different strengths.
Did he get a Ballon Dor longlist nom when every advance stats showed that he outperformed Kane in almost every meaningful way last season? He was the most efficient player in the PL by a long way.
Taking a hundred more shots to get 2 more non-PK goals than Son isn’t necessarily something to boast about.
The only reason Sammy isn’t in the bin is because the majority of the board has him on ignore.

No. Sons got the most assists in the PL among forwards since 2017. Check the Son thread. Someone posted it the other day.
Kane’s hold up play isn’t great but yes I admit it’s better than Son.
Main different is Son can be just as effective or even more effective as Kane playing CF while Kane couldn’t finish a season playing on the wing. I’d imagine he wouldn’t score 10 goals on the LW or RW

Why hasn’t Kane scored against the Big 4 clubs at a decent rate?
I’m thinking it’ll be important for our striker that takes the most shots on our team to score against them.
We aren’t going to crack the top 4 until we start getting results against the big 4.
Ignore is a great feature to use for some people especially those who whang on about the same stuff post after post.
Well up until last season Kane played as an out and out striker. Son is a wide player. Of course he should have more assists than Harry overall. But you would have to be a neanderthal to think his passing is better than Kane's. But you can get an assist from a 2 yard pass or a shot that's saved by the keeper and spilled. Harry can make passes when he drops deep and get assists that Son could only dream of.
Kane’s got to be the best attacker on the team before we start comparing him to the world class/elite players. Kane is a great flat track bully, but needs to do more against top sides to definitely become elite. The question is - does he have the ability to do so anymore? I really don’t think so given how physically limited he’s become over the years
you judge a footballer on his hold up play? guess salah is just an okay player then
So physically limited he only finished top scorer in the hardest competition in Europe last season all while playing for an only slightly better than average side.

Outside of that 11 game purple patch. Kane’s averaged 1 assist every 10 apps over the last 3.5 seasons. It looks even worse when you go back further. His whole Kane is a playmaker narrative because of a 11 game purple patch where Son was finishing everything is BS
Plus, Son can’t dream of getting those kind of assists because Kane can’t dream of making those runs in behind like Son can. He’s slower than Eric Dier. Remember that Southampton game when Son scored 4? Kane would not have got to any of those balls given how slow he is

And I think this season is just further proof showing how physically limited Kane has become. He’s been atrocious and looks like he lost 2 more steps.
