Bringing in Conte would mean a big budget in Jan. it would show ENiC have recognised the seriousness of the situation. It would suggest our sponsorship and even potential Stadium Sponsorship is being affected by our football collapse.

I very much doubt Conte is coming.

would be nice of our board to show ambition for once world class stadium average manager and side, we need a world class manager for this stadium and conte fits the bill

Most games require higher workrates nowadays. Yesterday Salah was defending near his own box at times, and mane cleared a header in his own box (from normal play not a corner). Very rarely do you seee Kane running back hard to defend like his life depended on it.
I've lost a lot of love for Kane lately, but one of his traits was doing exactly that. Line-clearances, dropping deep to recover/mop up. Maybe the key is the 'life depended on it' bit.

I am starting to see what people are saying about him dragging the team down when he's off form. He's shit at the moment, but then the whole team are and it's hard to see his qualities when he's nowhere near the goal most of the time. FWIW, I still think he'd be shit even with service, he just doesn't look sharp at all.

Nuno is looking like the reason nothing is working. We're an embarrassment and his charm has worn off in record time.

I always liked him at wolves and think he did a very good job there. I think the only way for him to go now is revert to his system he knows that he played at wolves. He's trying to keep too many people happy but I think he should go back to attacking full backs and making the pitch big and stretching teams. The change of tactics and formation isn't suiting him.
His work at Wolves was overrated.

They got the best of Portuguese young talent and breezed the championship. Probably the best promoted team to come up since Newcastle 93 or Sunderland 99.

Everyone said they’d be fine in the Prem.

Then as people really started to watch Wolves, they noticed how poor they were in general possession and were generally only good counter attacking. But it was overlooked because you know, results. But these are crucial factors in determining if a manager is good enough to translate his style to a team aiming for more.

How good is 7th in the Prem really? Sean Dyche did that with Burnley one season as well. Not begging for him either.

Yeah, the reason Wolves did well was because of their ability to get a bunch of premium talent from Portugal due to their connections, it wasn't Nuno. Adding to the ridiculous squad they had for the championship they signed Patricio, Boly, Jota, Adama, Jimenez, Moutinho etc. Most promoted clubs wouldn't even get a call back from some of these players. We're talking players who started for Portugal going to a side who had just come up.

They played shit on a stick football and Jota/Adama/Jimenez did their thing because they're quality players whilst Neves/Moutinho/Dendoncker is a really good midfield too. Their playstyle was boring as hell from day one, but the squad was always good enough to finish comfortably top half. Nuno did competently but they were always eventually going to look for a manager who is capable of coaching a side to be easy on the eye rather than rely purely on Adama getting the ball and running it 30-40 yards.

Nuno will be out sooner or later. But when the drivers drunk you can’t really blame the car for hitting trees. The problem is and was always ENIC

In this case, Nuno would be the driver, ENIC would be the car salesman who provided some beat up banger with dodgy brakes. Obviously the salesman is the one mainly in the wrong, but the fact remains that the driver is shit and needs to go.

(Anyway enough of the dodgy analogies .. ENIC suck but the fact remains you want a manager who gets the best out of what he has, Nuno is incapable of this. Both need to go.)
