Lads. Stop getting carried away. We’re getting Fonseca.

For the record, Conte would obviously be an amazing statement, but I don’t think we’re close to being the right club for him. He is incredibly pragmatic, insanely detailed, demands huge backing and delivers in a 2-3 year timeframe.

We are not that sort of club. Never have, never will be that sort of club. Our squad isn’t good enough for him and it won’t be without 200 million plus of spending.

Not going to happen.
depends, see the fans at the match, they wont take another project manager now, it has to be a good one and the right one

Sacked Redknapp after finishing 4th to hire someone like AVB who had already failed badly at Chelsea.
How ridiculous was that.
Redknapp had to go. He practically gave up working when he was cleared of tax evasion. He thought he was getting anointed England King Dong and then looked a total prat when Captain Charisma Woy got it.

I basically agree, but what if the board and ENIC feel a little more pressure with Newcastle obviously getting ready to splash crazy money? You’ve got a brand new stadium, fans that are upset and another entrant to try to keep pace with. Maybe they see Conte and backing him as that potential road forward.

I’m just deluding myself. It’s Mason for a while, then an underwhelming choice, rinse and repeat. Always repeat.

where?

the Beeb are unlikely to speculate if Nuno is still in the job
Nuno Espirito Santo’s immediate future as Tottenham manager is in doubt following yesterday’s 3-0 home defeat by Manchester United.

The former Wolves boss has struggled to impose an attractive style at Spurs since his appointment in the summer and results have nosedived since they started the season with three successive victories.

Tottenham failed to register a shot on target during yesterday’s reverse.

Chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paritici have held talks about Nuno’s future, even though the Portuguese has only been in charge for 17 games.

If Levy decides to act, Paulo Fonseca could come back into the frame.

Nah yesterday turned me lol

I wasn't backing him anyway, I just said I wasn't a fan of sacking when there's no one to come in and takeover but we are well past that point now.

Am only messing, we all get some things wrong. I get why some didn't wanna just sack him with nobody ready to step in, but for me it was obvious since honestly maybe his third game that nothing was right with him.

Hopefully we actually replace him with someone who fits this fucking club.

Jesus Christ, do we have no shame? We've already undermined the guy last Summer, hard job winning the dressing room after the board publicly fucking you off already.

Pointless getting Conte if you're not gonna back him, unless JL finds a spare £200m down the back of his sofa which I'm sure he has then it's gonna end in tears, better off writing the season off (again) giving Mason the hotseat and waiting for Poch/Potter or someone like that in the summer.

The myth that Conte needs tons of cash is BS.

Backing Conte means that you let him bring in the players he wants (that aren't all expensive), get rid of the players he doesn't want and let him bring in the staff he wants.

He spent a lot of money at Chelsea like every manager does. At Inter his spend wasn't crazy at all and mainly great buys,

When you bring in Conte it isn't like Jose where you need to bring in elite players to make up for his tactical weakness, you need to support his strong opinions and give him total control over who stays and who goes which Levy will never do.
