I think it is clear that he had a contact at the club that he was getting information from.

I find that for most people that complain about Gold, not saying this is you, is that they don't understand his role. He is not an insider like a Romano. It is not his job to break transfer news or the like. He covers the team and reports on news and in my view he does a damn good job of it. He probably would be better off not sharing transfer news he gets as it just gets him stick from some fans, but I appreciate that he does it because as I said he clearly has a connection at the club.

If you read his information around transfer with the knoweldge of what his job is and that there is likely always a club slant to it he is great. If you just read him for factual news about the squad, what happened, injuries, line-up news etc. he is likely the best for that.

But why Romagnoli? This guy has been dropped at AC Milan for Tomori and Kjaer.
 
How does conte differ from mourinho exactly? Another huge salary. Is Levy going to abandon 20 years of transfer policy to fund every conte wish? Will conte just think whatever ill put up with levys bullshit and pocket 15m a year for a few seasons and move on.

Getting a big money manager is one thing but he’ll need that cash make no mistake

Some of the contract info with Conte might be accurate. Him wanting guys like Chiesa and De Ligt (who are not coming here, he knows that, we know that .. we're not suddenly the ones who got bought by the Saudis!) is just twitter speculation. They've seen a high profile Italian manager and picked out some high profile players who play in Italy.

I don’t want him near the club. It’s going to be a disaster unless we’re actually giving him a £200m transfer kitty.

Conte falls out with owners at every single club he works at. It’s going to be car crash hearing about his relationship with Levy.

Conte is a good short term manager if you give him the goods he asks for. But even the Italian can’t turn our players into challengers.
