Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Taking into account your view of Kane, do you really think Conte would of become our manager if we sold Kane last summer?
If he had been sold and let's say for £100 million. Conte would have a budget to buy known quantities to him. Now he has a chance to " get the best out of him" or sell him for perhaps a lot less if he can't. As other clubs might view it as. Kane's unfixable. £100million is too much.

Using Football London player ratings in argument doesn't count for much. Kane moved poorly last night, had a few moments of quality, but generally his play back-to-goal was very poor from mins 25-60. Thought he stepped up his performance the last 25mins. More than any player I can think of right now he could use time off and a pre-season, but we don't have that luxury. Benefitted from the Covid enforced break more than any other player in world football.

I really hope there's something Conte's fitness staff can introduce to his preparation because he doesn't look close to being able to replicate the role played by Costa, Martinez or Lukaku in recent Conte sides. Hopefully more game/pattern specific training sessions can improve his sharpness because playing a ball in his direction the last few weeks has resulted in lost possession far too often.

I think the reality with Kane is that I don't think he can press anymore and isn't as mobile as he was (probably something to do with the injuries and constantly playing him) so playing him up front on his own nowadays isn't getting the best out of him and it's probably a reason why he likes to drop deep to come and collect the ball, I think though playing up front with Son or another striker will see a different side to him though and will get the best out of him.

It really didn’t matter if he scored 2-3 goals yesterday. What’s very apparent for everyone to see is that he looks like he’s moving in slow motion. This is a bigger issue than him not doing much on the pitch. He doesn’t even look like a professional athlete the way he’s moving. And I don’t think it’s a lack of effort.

Kane went the best part of his career scoring worldies every week with the media and general public taking him for granted, calling him a one-season wonder, tap-in/penalty merchant, flat-track bully, etc.

Now the moment he looks proper shit, he's apparently bigger than Spurs and being held back.

Unfortunately it's a very long moment 🤣

Nobody (except shithouse Sammy) wants or respects your opinion.

The trouble with Lucas is that he is so easily pushed off the ball on his runs. Invariably he ends up on the ground In a heap.

Far from it; he's good at slaloming through players.... When he ends up on the ground it's usually cos he's been fouled.

Excellent work-rate, decent finisher, ridiculously good in the air..... His main problem is that he plays with his head down too much. When he doesn't, he's actually got a decent eye for a pass.
