Had to delay watching of the second half Milan/inter, 60 minutes in now and Pioli has just hooked Diaz and Leao - when Ibra's just been strolling around doing fuck all for an hour. I really think this is Milan/Pioli's Achilles heel, I know he scores goals, but I think he/they overestimate his importance as a leader/fulcrum when they could have someone else up there and a lot more energy and defensive stability (ie from the front) if they sacrificed Ibra for Leao/Rebic as the 9, without sacrificing too much in goals. Especially with this CM2/4231 system that leaves them very vulnerable in midfield at times.
Brutal - worse than Schumacher. Please tell me he got sent off for that - should be banned for the season!
Fun last 20 minutes, after Inter dominating the first 25 minutes of the second half, Milan got a second wind and gave the last 20 a right go. This game was all over the place, not a tactical masterclass from either team really, but a fun watch because you didn't know what was going to happen. In some ways this was a bit like our game this afternoon, lots of huffing and puffing, but ultimately a bit short on quality.

I didn't see the first half but the coms guy (Jonathan Pearce I think) said it was one of the best performances he's seen anywhere this season. Looked at the stats and Rennes had 59% and by all accounts pressed the shit out of anti-Pep's 2018's Lyon, was it as good as it sounds. Did anti-Pep go all Pep?
What do you make of the kid Lovro Majer? They didn't have as much ball second half, but bits I did see he looked quite nice, and the coms were saying he was outstanding in the first half, the boy any good?

You must. They stopped everything Lyon were trying to do and were super dangerous themselves. Now, I may not be Bosz' biggest fan but I do know his teams are dangerous...mostly because he cares fuck all about defending the backdoor. They didn't get a sniff.
But, in truth, this does nothing to advance Bruno's credentials. We know he gets excited for a big scalp. We know he can exploit your weaknesses and plan around your strengths when playing teams ready to play. But it was interesting to see and JMA sure had a sourpuss on in the stands. Three coaches they've gone through and they've still not played better football than Geniusio's time. I look forward to your viewing of the first half.

First goal was 'lucky' but his desire to get forward was admirable. As he came on late I didn't really see much of him otherwise.
When I first saw it I thought it was lucky, but I'm sure the slow mo showed the boy actually kept his wits about him and it looked deliberate, despite being shoved off his stride, no? If I've seen that right I thought it was brilliant, especially in light of of the careless shite we're getting from our 35m desperate bag of limbs.
