Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yup but atm we only have 5 forwards - Kane, Son, Mours, Bergwijn and Gil (arguably Dele and Lo Celso but neither showing much form this season or last season, so better to ignore them).

So if anything we need to sign other AM's/strikers not lose one

But in Jan I think we need to sign at least once creative CM, so not sure how likely we can find a forward/goalscoring AM very easily.

Bergwijn's been frustrating in that after a decent start at Spurs Mourhino played him as a 'defensive winger' more akin to a RWB, and he's not yet reverted to being the goal scoring/assist creating winger we bought from PSV. Question is which coach can bring him back to that player - can Conte, Ajax probably sure they can

Isak would be lovely but highly unlikely. He signed a new five-year contract this summer with a €90 million (£77 million) release clause.

Real Sociedad are a pretty well run ship, they're not crying out for money. They'd be unlikely to listen to any bid under £60 million and would likely look to hold out for the whole contract buy-out sum.
I was just looking at the VAT regulations on transfers, under Spanish law, 21% VAT is payable on normal transfers but not on contract buy outs. This means that there comes a point where it's cheaper to pay the release clause than the transfer fee plus 21%.

In Isac's case that would be a shade under €75 million. Any more and you'd have been better off buying his contract.

Billy Bob mate Billy Bob mate - are you hereby stating on record Bergwijn is better than Hazard?
I am hereby stating on record that you come across as a ridiculous, immature child by repeated assigning pathetic schoolyard names to our players.

I've previously said I'd chuck you a 'Disagree' if I feel like it when I see such comments and those disagrees have no bearing on my thoughts regarding the ability of the player, or indeed of that player compared to another.

Vat is internal right? English clubs get a vat refund like at the airport.
