Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

No, because you are a serious, solid company. Otherwise he wouldn't even come. Over the years it has refused important benches. Only at Real Madrid it seems that Ramos and his team mates made an internal petition not to let him arrive: they couldn't stand such an extreme leader.
Not going to name them (you can do that for yourselves). But this here Juve supporter knows more, has more respect for, and contributes way more regards Tottenham Hotspur football club than four of the most prolific posters this forum. How does that make sense 🤔

I mean he was always a short-term caretaker but he was an absolutely shocking appointment. Same style football as Jose but without any history, gravitas or personality. I wouldn’t mind if it was Tim Sherwood for a season on £28K pa but the deaf and dumb mute was on about £8M pa…. Whoever backed Nuno should leave the club immediately

No one backed him, we clearly never stopped speaking to Conte to persuade him, we couldn't start the season with no manager at all though.

I have a lot of respect for you because I get the bubbles when I see Manchester City's petrodollars spending like PSG. You have won less than you deserved and have a splendid fan base. I'm a big Juventus fan but I'm happy if you do well. And with Antonio Conte I think you will take an important step.

Question for you…, how do you feel about Allegri? We were linked to him on a few occasions and I never wanted him, so curious to see how someone who’s actually had him rates him?

Allegri has a very different method from Conte. Conte creates a "military" environment in which everything goes at 300 per hour. It doesn't matter what you think: run and bring out your soul. If you have to create a winning environment, it's great (see Inter this year, first in the standings with Inzaghi). If in two years he will leave due to disagreements with the company, you will see that he will remain a very strong loom anyway.

Allegri is more of a manager: you will never hear him formally complain against the company. Allegri at Juventus took Conte's work and “shaped” it further, he cleverly used a job that had already begun. In this he is a magician. On the contrary, now that he has to start a new cycle he is struggling a lot.

It does sound like Conte is the right fit for us, someone who can get us up to a certain level and there be an ingrained culture and style to build on if and when he does leave (hopefully via some success). And if seems quite contrary to some of the more negative depiction of him as needing a huge investment financially (Though I accept he will need some significant backing for where our squad is lacking).

I’m as optimistic about our potential as I have been for a long time, Conte seems about to get results quickly and he clearly commands respect. We had hoped for that with Mourinho but the key difference is that Conte is currently at the peak of his powers whereas Mourinho’s decline has begun long before we got our hands on him.

I really hope we don’t break this one…

I genuinely think that he has been surprised and encouraged by the response of the players - that was the first battle. His job now is to tell Levy who can go, and raise some funds. That is the second battle. Finally he needs to get involved with finding new players, and play hardball.

Appreciate your reply/input but who the hell is Allegri when we've got Conte

I get that you guys view Juve as a franchise, but we're still a football CLUB. :contethumb:
I misspelled the word. Juventus is a club with one property, the Agnelli family has been there since 1923, almost 100 years. Every year the team plays a friendly match in August against the Juventus U19 boys in the private stadium of the Agnelli family in the villa in Villar Perosa.

I don't know how many clubs can boast this tradition

Juventus made the most of them at different stages and each of them made their contribution. In this phase you needed Conte, as someone said he is similar to Mourinho but in an ascending phase and less conflictual from a media point of view. De Rossi when he had him with the Italian national team (one of the poorest teams ever seen in terms of quality) said that he had never trained like Conte's, he called him a hammer.
