HIs passing was very good all game and we needed that as we had nobody else to do the job. I think today showed how much we need another striker to play with him so that when he does drop back someone can convert chances he creates.

I think he should have done a lot more. That's not enough and you can see by his numbers this season, if he was at least okay he should already have a lot more of goal and assist. It seems the best he can do now is hold the ball up and make one good pass that wouldn't end up in a goal.
We all know he's having a crap season, but it's hard to do a whole lot when you're smothered by 2 defenders every time you get the ball. He did well to give the other players a chance by finding them with clever passing and hold-up play.
But hey, whatevz.

I think you've got that the other way around. Every time anyone says he's doing anything good, we get 3 pages of ranting about how he's been shit since 2018.
We certainly saw the story of people complaining every week about one of our best players until he buggered off to Italy and won the league.
I do agree that we need another striker. But I think for Kane to be at his best he needs a player like Eriksen in the MF who can create space and put in a good pass when he is near the box.
Ndombele has shown glimpses of it but is way too inconsistent, Lo Celso and Dele has been disappointing and guys like Skipp and Hojberg lack creativity in our MF.
When was he last good this season?

I thought he was alright: I think it’s more that he now has other players supporting him and get into the box that he’s struggling with. If every pass forward goes to you (as it did with Jose), then it’s easier to get the touches. Now, tho, there are better options flooding into the box so he has to compete for the strike.

I agree if we had someone like Kane to put the passes in that he does he wouldn't have to drop back like he does.
We need both another striker and a creative player.
