Match Tottenham Vs Palace - Boxing day - 3pm (Live on BT Sport)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Everybody is basing their reports off the Palace journalist who works at Football London. Football London are hardly a reputable journalist firm.

until the league get a grip of this, of course under strength teams are gonna try their luck to get the games postponed.

Either postpone the season to make it fairer all round or do something constructive to solve this issue cos otherwise this is gonna go on for the rest of the season.

I don’t think the issues is the reliability of the journalist, Palace is clearly leaking this and pushing it out to numerous journalists, before the Premier League has made a decision.

Pretty clearly a coordinated media push from Palace, in my view.

yeah. but they'll look pretty stupid if the PL says game on

Backroom staff don't play. They could just travel in 2 coaches from the training ground why they need a hotel. The rules are crazy with this covid.

Funny how the shoes on the other foot now people are saying it's unfair, why?

Considering had a load of staff who caught it as well as players it's only right the game is called off... If there's loads of infections then it becomes an epidemic and those players who we face up against are at risk of spreading it around despite the negative tests.

Palace is totally in their rights to petition the league to call the game off if they feel seriously disadvantaged, we also don’t know what the situation actually is behind the scenes. We got fucked by COVID and it is going to happen to almost every club at some point.

The issue at hand is whether the PL can adjudicate and assess whether requests are made in good faith and if they can establish and enforce criteria in which games should be played or called off. Whatever happens, I won’t be upset with Palace, the league needs to do its job as the governing body and handle these situations.

I'm fairly certain Palace don't meet the criteria for a postponement. Otherwise, there wouldn't be this leaking to the Palace media and pressure to call it off.

The mail have wind of it now

'I'm not worried about the players' welfare regarding the [frequency of] games during this period because it's been like that for years and years. I'm worried about their welfare regarding Covid.

'Players coming back from the Covid situation and asking them to play with not enough training is a lot on them.'

So Vieira's beef is not that they have a lot of players with covid but some players who had covid and are not 100% fit.
If they are recovering from eg a hamstring injury tough titties.
