Conte outHe doesn’t look much different you’ve just convinced yourself he does because you don’t want to say a bad word about Conte picking him
I have posted my dislike for Winks on here for over a year now. I have wanted him gone when Poch was still here. But it’s obvious he has improved. Southampton was his best match in years. He doesn’t look much different you’ve just convinced yourself he does because you don’t want to say a bad word about Conte picking him
It wasn’t just Messi, the whole attack was fluid when they went forward - similar to City, they strangled the tempo and controlled the ball but though they were off the cuff in final thirdI think it was. the players were told where to be,where to go,where to pass but he had messi to go off script.
This does show why ndombele and conte wont work. Even during the game, Conte is trying to micro manage how every player passes and presses and pointing here there and everywhere. It works with some players, it doesnt with others. Since he is our manager, its probably better to have players who like to follow instructions instead of playing on intuition.Maybe Ndombele is busting at the seams to get out of England. Other than that, Conte appears to have the horn for micro-management in terms of how we wants his teams to play, and probably don't like Tanguy's freestylin' ways.
Fabregas again:
'I had coaches like Pep [Guardiola] who had a lot of positioning game but we had freedom inside of this. With Conte, the freedom was non-existent, he was telling me where I have to pass the ball.'
'I'm 29 years old in that moment, I've already played for 13 years, I played in every final, I won a lot of things and this guy is telling me where I need to pass the ball.'

Fabregas lifts the lid on Conte's controlling coaching methods
This month Conte returned to Premier League football following Spurs' SOS plea in the wake of sacking Nuno Espirito Santo, and once again looks to be ruling with an iron fist from the outset.www.dailymail.co.uk
It was between him and Hojbjerg and Hojbjerg was atrocious, not sure that's such high praise. And no he doesn't look a different player lol, everyone has just forgotten the 45 minutes before Southampton went down to 10.Not sure why you keep having a go at Winks, he was our best midfielder last match. He looks completely different under Conte, much like other players in Contes career.
Ndombele has had chances. He disappeared in most matches he was played. Why would Conte keep wasting his time if so many other managers couldn’t get a tune out of him but other players are improving.
Sell now and move on.
Bergwijn will just never be healthy imo. Traore is also a better runner with the ball which fits what Conte wants. I don’t care for either at RWB but Traore there would be exciting to see until it fails.
It doesn’t matter how you try spinning it, Winks was good last match. I’m fine sellling him, never said I wasn’t. But we all know the club isn’t replacing 3-4 midfielders in the same year. If I had a choice, sell GLC, Ndombele and Dele before selling Winks. It was between him and Hojbjerg and Hojbjerg was atrocious, not sure that's such high praise. Winks is just not very good and he never will be, lower mid table level footballer
Yes.Even Eriksen said something along the lines of Fabregas, didnt he?
Yes so eriksen was willing to adapt and learn basically like a pro.Yes.
Eriksen told Gazzetta dello Sport of the path he has taken at Inter: "I was willing to learn new things when I arrived. I hadn’t understood I had to follow’s Conte system all the time."
"Before, I was free to make decisions based on what I saw. It had a lot to do with intuition. Now, there is a general plan we have to follow. We must be ready, know where our team-mates are and where they can move.
"I had to learn all this and adapt to a different pace. We spoke in January, and I’ve proved what I am able to do.”
Eriksen 'really happy' at Inter after tough start as exit talk fades around Danish playmaker | Goal.com
Christian Eriksen claims to be feeling "really happy" after coming through a testing start to his spell at Inter to now be a Serie A title winner under Antonio Conte.www.goal.com
Actually, I found an interesting quote from Conte about Eriksen.
“He’s very shy, so I hope this goal can shake him up and make him come out of his shell. We all like him, he’s a good lad, perhaps too good! He needs to be more determined.”
Remind you of anyone?
'Nobody will arrive, nobody will leave' - Conte says 'shy' Eriksen will remain at Inter after Milan derby wonder goal | Goal.com
Inter manager Antonio Conte has says that he expects Christian Eriksen to stay with the club despite his continued links with a departurewww.goal.com
It's not spinning anything, he was just as shit as the rest of the team when they were playing with 11, he then was okay ish when they went down to 10.It doesn’t matter how you try spinning it, Winks was good last match. You just constantly go against whatever our manager picks because you have some weird agenda about trying to be smarter than everyone. It’s really strange.
Eriksen played 90 minutes twice in 17 league games under ConteYes so eriksen was willing to adapt and learn basically like a pro.
So no it doesnt remind me of anyone
The rumors about Ndombele leaving?Well, if you goes trawling the Internet, you will see what some top-class players had to say about Conte's coaching. Boring/repetitive, apparently.
I'm not saying I don't appreciate anything he has done since he came in. I do. There are lots of positives, but there's other stuff that I'm very uneasy about, including these transfer rumours.
Not disagreeing on Griezmann, I'm sure it's BS, but improving our quality in every position should be a priority. Lucas has been great recently and hopefully that continues, but a player that could contribute to 10-15 goals over the rest of the season would make a massive difference. You can't possibly know that it's not a priority as we don't yet know whether Bergwijn, Alli etc will be at the club.I'm calling BS on Greizmann don't think Conte would like that kind of player who's full of his own self importance.
Also "Wing Forward" not a priority.
I think that ‘automated’ approach is why he’s been so successful. He genuinely coaches average players and makes them more than the sum of their parts. Someone like Lucas, who is not a byword for intelligent decision making, may very well flourish under Conte. The exact second he picks up the ball on the halfway line and starts running, every single player will be told what to do and where to run to. It will have been drilled into them over and over again. Any back up for Lucas will do exactly the same thing too. There is no decision making, simply execution of a ‘play’ (shudder at that word).Well, if you goes trawling the Internet, you will see what some top-class players had to say about Conte's coaching. pizza capital of the world of course he will love itWonder if Italy would work with Ndombele. Better weather, etc. Maybe some type of swap for someone we like down there? Plus a little cash if needed.
Since you put it that way, I'm honestly wondering now if Conte is a student of American Football.I think that ‘automated’ approach is why he’s been so successful. It’s machine code.
I can see why it frustrates mercurial talents, but it revolutionised someone like Lukaku who had the game simplified for him.
Tell you what though, I’d have loved to see him get a tune out of the mighty Sissoko.
