Really not mad on Traore but If Conte wants him get him in! Love the idea of Lamptey but I’m sure Brighton value him at around 50-60 million pounds, which we are never going to pay.

Ndombele, when he actually plays and is motivated, has the creativity we are crying out for.

Traore is big, fast and slippery. That’s not creativity, that’s just a difficult player for some defenders to handle.
I love the guy, but the whole "when he plays and is motivated" are just things you can't rely on with Tanguy. Five managers have not relied on him now, it's just not going to happen.

If you watch Traore in one on one situations, he's very creative and able to beat his man with regularity. He's not creative in an Eriksen sense, but he's able to creatively find space with the ball. It's what he does after that gets him into trouble. With Conte though, you just ask him to play the way Emerson played yesterday and deliver crosses into the box. His crossing is actually not bad, it's his finishing and decision making. Conte can just tell him to simplify his game, get the ball in space, beat his man, get the ball in the box. I think he can do that role very well - it's at least worth a 20 million punt.

Biggest criticism people have of Emerson is his end product and your solution for that is Traore……

Firstly we ain’t getting Lamptey, secondly the RWB requires someone who can beat defenders, force the opposition to double mark and thus create space in other areas, carry the ball quickly from defence to attack and provide width, he can do that no problem. We’d be signing him for RWB not as an attacker.

Lamptey is a player I realyl like but it'd be nuts to spend big bucks on him with his injury history.

How often is that exactly after 2 and a half years? One pass against Liverpool and fuck all else...if he was of any benefit to the team, Conte would be playing him.

Traore is infinitely more professional, a harder worker, more of a team player and makes far more happen on the pitch regularly.

Ndombele is fucking rot.

It’s the opposite of what we need.

We need a player with some footballing intelligence.

Not another straight line runner with no end product

Yes but that’s not the position, we do need a Neves or Brozovic to run the game from deep but that is a CM as well as another attacker to provide competition for Kane and Son.

Conte’s system generally doesn’t use creative AM’s. It has a hard working midfield and converted winger to wing backs.

I’m not the biggest Traore fan but I will be honest he may have cause a bit of havoc against watford on the right yesterday. If Conte wants him I say get him but I’m not 100% he does if I’m honest he was linked to us in the summer before Conte so I think it could just be paper talk.

The news about Traore is that we’re interested in him as a RWB. I’d be fascinated to see it. The guy is one the three best combinations of speed and dribbling in the world. Conte made middle age Ashley Young and Victor Moses into title winning wingbacks, I’m fascinated what he could do with someone of Traore’a raw ability.

It’s also an entirely different conversation if it’s 20m versus 40m in the summer. Very much worth the punt. Imagine what Traore would do with the space Emerson had yesterday.

It does make me wonder why we're not trying Lucas and/or Bergjwin at RWB in matches like yesterday. I could see a 3-5-2 like this being really effective in matches like yesterday, and we're not even sacrificing defensive solidity in midfield...

That is a good point I don’t know, always though Bergwijn would be ok as a wing back
