Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Lord help me, I will say one thing in Levy’s defence.

He did spend big on Ndombele and he is not to blame for the fact he turned out to be an absolute bag of shit. We all wanted him. We thought he was going to be one of the best, most robust midfielders in Europe. He’s actually slower than Gareth Barry.

Our midfield has been shocking for years, but that transfer has killed us.

This was his attempt to finally back Poch. All evidence points to Poch loving the guy, recognizing it would take time for NDombele to get up to league speed, but believing in his motivational and coaching ability to get the best out of him.

Now that transfer—the fee itself, and the 200k/week commitment for the next 3+ years—hangs around our neck like an albatross.

I answered your question I said YES

End of that then really..... If you want to start another topics then that's your prerogative.

Do me the courtesy of answering mine this is not PMQs and you are not Boris

As above... I don't see what relevance all the "yeh, but WH are a joke" etc. stuff holds to the discussion was at hand.

I just took your post to being flag-bearing more than anything..... A rhetorical question.

But seeing as you now suggest otherwise; sure I'll respond... I'm just not sure where the question lies:

Woolwich want them out
United want them out
West Ham LOL

Do you believe we should not expect as much from our owners

As much as what?

- WH's owners sold their home off and had them in a relagation battle less that 2 years ago. Their fans have now gone suspiciously quiet cos they've suddenly doing well.
- Arse believe Kronke is responsible for their club's downfall from perennial title winner/challengers to 8th place no hopers.
- United's beef with the Glaziers is born of the way they're financially leveraged they club and taken a hige amount of money out.... It's a beef that has existed since day one of their tenure.

Which scenario should I be comparing us to?

It seems you have an pre-determined answer in mind that you want to hear, but your question is just a barrage of rhetoric rather than a succinct question.

What exactly are you asking......? I promise you an honest answer.

How am I proving your point? We didn't need to sack poch or mourinho, we needed to give them players of the caliber of Mane, Salah, VDV, Winjaldum. Instead we gave them shite like Sanchez, Rodon. the argie kid I've already forgotten, Sissoko, etc etc. They're all cheaper, easier to sign players, be it wages, fees, or both.

You're quick to post a net spend in fees that shows we're "up there" but where are we on wages?
We're right down the bottom. Year after year our salaries are 50% or less of our turnover. That's why we sign £30m Sissoko and Chelsea sign £30m Kante. You seem to think that's the same, but it's not, is it.

Because matthew your entire implication was that ENIC haven't invested in the squad when the chart I showed you says they have and in comparison to the other teams they've invested their money poory which is a direct criticism of them, of course if your players are underperforming hiring and firing coaches is cheaper than reinvesting in players, every club on this planet does that.

And your point just here goes hand in hand with what I've been saying all along -again I'll point you to the Leicester and West Ham example, you can sign good players for relitavely 'low' wages if you're structure and scoting is right, our's isn't

The problem with your argument is that you want us to spend more money but we've spent money on shit, we spend more and we're likley to buy even more shit - you're looking at the wrong thing to be angry about, it's not about money it's about strategy.

I really don’t understand who’s fooling who with all the loan-with-obligation stuff, and it isn’t just us though Levy and Paratici are the Lennon and McCartney of that bullshit.
I presume it'll be an accounting trick to postpone the capex appearing on the books into a future financial year. Presumably something to do with the conditions around the stadium debt.

Maybe there are also get-out clauses relating to massive fuck ups like the player going to jail during the loan spell. (Only semi joking- see Gylfi, Mendy).

As I’ve said before, there’s no money. Loan to buy when the price is £20m indicates that more than ever. We had losses of over £100m in the last two years due to covid. The club is currently fucked financially. It’s beyond obvious.
But the wah wah wah crew want us to buy 3 world class players. In January.
Donald Trump Laugh GIF by Election 2020

Surely it makes Adama think he's a fall back option if we can't do a better deal elsewhere.
I'm sure we've fucked off a fair few players and coaches with this behaviour.
Why have they failed to get investment in if that’s the case….
I don't understand how you think this would work in the real world.
If Levy/ENIC sell some of their share of the club, they will keep the money as they now own less of their profit machine. They're not giving up a share of that and then giving the cash away.
The only way out of this is to get better sponsorship and stadium naming rights done. But we're stuck with AIA for years and F all happening on the stadium name. He's probably holding out on the latter hoping we get back in the Champions league so he can demand loadsa money.

Levy is not to blame for Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon and Clarke collectively being an absolute pile of steaming shit despite having the profiles and costing the money that the club needed and Poch deserved in that moment.

Levy is to blame for our head of recruitment still being here after that catastrophe.

Just get Traore done for fuck sake. They want £20m. We apparently have had or about to have an offer for Bergwjin for £20m from Ajax. Just sort it out - ZERO NET SPEND!

The reason they have invested poorly is the wages.....
Match the wages of the other teams and the quality goes up - but so does the wage to income ratio.
Regarding Leicester, they won a freak title and their FA Cup win was as out of the blue as anything. They haven't finished in the top 4 since their title win which was 6 years ago. They aren't exactly pulling up trees. West Ham are all noise and fuck all else. Don't give them time of day. Who are their great signings? Rice is academy, Antonio is academy. I can hardly name 3 other players.

Why are you getting so personal?

You're examining my posting habits... I'm examining yours?

You're asking me about personal things such as money etc. You're inferring things about my personality....

.........Define "personal"?

I’m not talking about your response (8th), I’m talking generally…..

You were riffing off of a particular post. Perhaps the problem starts with how you've approached your inquiry....?

you seem to be the only poster remaining who constantly defends ENIC and Lext when people rant on here.

This comment only underlines the underlying shit-housery you're employing here.

- I'm NOT the only person prepared to contradict rhetoric regarding the conduct of our owners.
- Neither am I unequivocal in doing so.

My ciritisms of ENIC are in black and white to be read accross the pages of the forum.... It's just that you'd clearly rather latch onto the meme-ing, false representation and trolling that goes on here.

Do you currently invest time and money in going to games? If not, it helps understand your viewpoint

You don't even have an honest grasp of my viewpoint/outlook; so you're wasting time trying to dissect it further.

I've answered your question. You dodged mine.

We're done.

What question? You currently don’t go to games do you?

Just spend time tapping out super detailed, pedantic multi quote replies on here
