Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's fucking shit to follow isn't it? It's a minor miracle that we haven't already slipped terminally into mid-table mediocrity again, and yet because we've got a manager making chicken salad out of chicken shit, Levy's just gonna keep calm and carry on.

We had a starting 11 full of quality 5 years ago, it was genuinely difficult to see how we could improve it back then, but it still wasn't impossible and at the very least we should have been bolstering the rest of the squad to raise the overall standard.

From there we've gradually stripped the quality away in every position, each step fans have been concerned about the likes of Villa, Everton etc overtaking us and for the most part it's been overreaction. But we've continued the slide to the point that we have 3 genuine quality players left, and the halfwit that's overseen our recruitment has been promoted not fired, though he has now been joined by a chancer that Juve were happy to see the back of in the summer...

We're at a tipping point now, don't spend, Conte goes, and we're fucked, absolutely fucked, we'll have come full circle to the 90's and struggling to break into the top 10.
At one point, we had pretty much the best team in the league over a calendar year, the 2nd half of the Leicester title season and 1st half of the next (or was it the other way around?). Anyway the squad needed reinforcing back then and gradually each season, not 2 years of nothing. That we are still in shout for 4th and have Conte in charge is such a great place to be considering - but fuck he needs backing

South American football correspondent Tim Vickery pretty much nails it

Levy / ENIC....Scumbags

Interesting - his actual tweet does not say "than the club would like to accept"

Where would Diaz fit at Tottenham?

South American football expert Tim Vickery told SSN:
"Luis Diaz is very eye-catching. He's usually a left winger cutting onto his stronger right foot and he's got a goal in him. This is usually how Tottenham like to do business - sniff around and do business right as the window is closing, coming in with a cheaper offer.
"Although he's a very fine player, my surprise is that I do wonder if it's the area of the Tottenham team that really needs strengthening when you look at their line-up.
"I couldn't imagine as a wing-back. He's not got a track record of that and he's a player for the front three. As a player operating from the left cutting onto his right, that's Son's preferred position.
"It's not an area Tottenham need to urgently reinforce."

Andrea Cambiaso is 21-years-old, born on 20 February 2000, and is a professional football player from Italy. Andrea Cambiaso has also played in Serie B for Empoli and in Coppa Italia for Alessandria. He currently plays as a Midfielder (Left), Defender (Right) in Serie A for club Genoa.

Main position: Left-Back
Other position: Right-BackCentral Midfield

Preferred FootLeft

Andrea Cambiaso (born 20 February 2000) is an Italian footballer who plays as a left wing back for Italian club Genoa.

Report: AC Milan management could choose to chase signature of young full-back

The player is a 21-year-old Italian left-back who stands at 181 cm tall, and he scored a goal already this season against Napoli. He plays for Genoa after coming from Empoli and it seems that his performances have been awarded with attention from the two Milanese clubs: AC Milan and their rivals Inter.

Another name that the scouting area like is 21-year-old left-back Andrea Cambiaso of Genoa. The Italy U21 international was one of the only Rossoblu players who impressed in the match two days ago at the Marassi, so exploratory contacts in view of next summer have been started.

Over 2 consecutive seasons, overall we were top in every meaningful metric, points, goals, goals conceded, clean sheets, goal difference etc. Probably had the least yellow cards...

But in the 2 individual seasons there were a total of 3 teams that got more points than us, Leicester/Woolwich and Chelsea.

Now that is Spursy!

I expect the Bale rumours will start in around 12 hours.
"Gareth, we have Daniel and Fabio on line one, sounds urgent"

Who's payroll are YOU on?

Gross embellishment and melt-comedy very much seems to be your shtick this morning.......... Surely you're not working for free?

I'd get an agent if I were you.
Melt comedy? Hey, at least I'm keeping it light, can't be melting all that much if I'm still cracking jokes about this calamity can I?

Feel free to list all of the reasons everyone should be joyful and optimistic about the current state of affairs though, because I'm envisaging at a pretty bleak near future for Spurs, relatively speaking of course.

Said when we got him, he had one trick. Throw enough shit that some of it sticks. He was never going to get that opportunity here. Remember when he signed Romero for Juve he was their th choice CB. Here, you don't have luxuries like that.

It was an utterly moronic appointment.
Absolute classic Levy appointment. 'Cor, he's from Juventus he must be good and it will look like i mean business'. Like Conte if we dont have any money we should have tried a different route, maybe a younger more modern thinking DoF and a coach like ten Hag. Levy wants to make us look like we mean business without backing it up. He is so stuck in 2006 and thinks you can pillage skint clubs for the modern day Keane, Defoe, Carrick, Lennon but you cant, a good championship player costs £20m and Levy doesnt have the first clue how to adapt.

Kerian trippier on dembelle transfer decision

'For me, the big one was selling Mousa Dembele that January,' he added. 'I think I can speak on behalf of the players who were there.

'In the dressing room, he was an unbelievable person and all the lads loved him, but on the pitch he was the kind of player who would make a couple of per cent difference. That's what wins you things.

'It baffled me that they would sell him. I know he was going to be a free (transfer) in the summer, but with the things we were challenging for, I would have kept him there and then let him go. He was the difference between winning a trophy or not.'

Trippier rewriting history there. At the time dembele could barely finish games and was injured a lot. Where we fucked up as usual was not getting a proper replacement in the same window.

Wife: "Why are you constantly on your phone?"
Me: "transfer deadline day on Monday, need to check if we've signed anyone"
Wife: "Don't be ridiculous, you haven't signed anyone good for years, you're wasting your life"

:contefacepalm:
