Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Whilst if true, it's totally gutting, do people really expect signings to happen without the following:

- Selling chairman to see if there are any other parties interested who would pay more
- Player's agent to ask the player where he wants to play, and to ask other clubs if they are interested

If another, potentially more attractive club shows interest what can you do? This isn't a defending Levy post, but some need a reality check.

The only 2 signings I can see us maybe making now are Ambrabat and Morata, both on loan.

However I can't see us shipping out the players we need to in that time.

listen to all his declarations: he feels a project manager, and he is really good in it.
he just has not enough patience to collect fruits of his work, that's his big limit.

he should focus on what we have: lloris, romero, dier, sanchez, reguilon, royal, skipp, lucas, gil, kane, berjwin, son. that's a good starting base.
we have to play only EPL and FA cup
is it really necessary to waste money over players like amrabat in these two days of winter market?
I'd prefer to use money to buy players for the summer, like dybala and kessie instead

- Well if Amrabat means we don’t have to run Skipp, Winks, Hojbjerg into the ground then so be it. Why wait till summer when top 4 and CL money is a possibility and leaving buying 7-8 players till the summer is foolhardy.
- the starting base is ok but nothing more and we are not able to take injuries.
- Conte would not have come here without significant promise of massive money, if that fails to turn up he will be gone.

The whole thing is looking like a giant giant giant shitshow. The club is in serious danger of losing Conte.

Keeping it real for a moment though. What is the clubs actual ambition?

We as fans obviously want to be top of the league, and win cups/trophies.
The club on the other hand, whilst yes would love a trophy, might be happy to finish between 4th and 8th. This might be the zone that keeps the club profitable and attractive to the level of players they want.

Unless they actually turn around and say, yes Spurs are here to challenge the top 4, or something along those lines, we just may need to temper our expectations unfortunately.
The owner's ambition is to keep revenues high enough to repay the stadium debt and maintain the value of the asset. That means reliable European football and a full stadium. Trophies are not part of the calculation.

Not a bad shout that.

Jed Spence is meant to be the next one up by the way, they're looking at him as someone like Reeece James.

Reckon we'll got for Lamptey but will probably be priced out but end up with Spence.

If Poch didn't fuck KWP's career up we wouldn't be having this issue but nevermind...

Agree (bold), and I do mind.

if it's only amrabat ok. if we have to buy 2-3 amrabat-like players no, because thay will occupy slots in the squad.
conte is a particular type of top coach: he surely deserves the top clubs, but top players of the top clubs don't want him. so tottenham is not a good opportunity, maybe is the only opportunity in these times for him
