Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Again that's not the point

Not issue with a richer and more successful club beating us to a player.

The issue is we have left it last minute again and its happened. If on the 1st of Jan we came in with what Porto wanted and this happened fair enough we actually tried

But now we have 60 million (apparently) sat there and have no time to get anyone in with it because we fucked about with the Diaz and Traore deals.

Who we gonna get? Probs nobody cause teams now also don't have time to get a replacement in

The issue isn't the missing out it's the pathetic haggling and last minute of it all AGAIN

Happens every window and Levy is either to dumb or arrogant to learn from it

Or maybe he simply wasn't on our radar, but we got an indication it was possible late on?
You just assume that we could have done something before, based on absolutely nothing.

The big question , I’m sure everyone in the Tottenham area & community , the homeless , those on minimum wage or unemployed, is asking is “When does the Golf Course , that is 7 miles away reopen ?”

If we go for a Liverpool target then there’s no doubt who he’s going to go for. Anyone would choose Liverpool over us. That’s nobles fault this window.

However this has been a messy window and it’s not looking good. They might just get away with January but it puts a lot of pressure on the summer now.

He’ll rotate with Mane as they phase the latter out and maybe sell in 12-18 months.

Good planning and squad continuity.

You have to stack the bench when the expectation is to continually challenge and try and win things.
Nah that sort of succession planning will never work. Better to flog your golden team into the ground and watch as they leave one after the other and not replace them.

This is why it's better to make our move early. Force rivals to act if they want to stop us signing the player leaving us free to pursue other targets for the rest of the window.

Levy doesn't even plug in the fax machine until there are 5 days left, this is why we never sign the players the manager asks for. We have so many players we need to bin, so many players we need to sign, no other chairman in the world would think the best idea is to leave it right until the very end.

That might work when you are doing your GCSE geography coursework but it doesn't work when you are trying to run a football club.

Still bad if that's the case. If he wasn't on the radar then who the fuck was and why haven't we signed them?

I don't understand how you can defend how this transfer window has panned out

We have a world class manager who has dragged this squad into serious contention for top 4 fuck maybe even 3rd

A couple of decent accusations nail us on for 4th

If we don't sign anyone and don't back Conte he's gonna walk or stink the place up. And we are back in the shit

This is legit last chance saloon for us and Levy is risking it all over a a combined 10 million pounds so far. For what seemed to be our 2 main targets

Conte is not coming here to finish 4th he will want the title. That will need 7-8 good players for the possibility of an attempt, the pressure in the summer window will be intense, unlike anything the club has ever had. Unless we have £200-300m ready to go Conte will probably be off.

Even just 2 good players on the Neves level would have been a start. If this is unrealistic then hiring Conte is going to blow up in our faces. You don’t hire Conte with an average squad without a huge budget.
