I'd love to know what really happened there.

You'd think a kid from non-league, even if he's a mad Woolwich fan boy, would jump at the chance to sign for Spurs...even for like 2 g's a week to begin with.

So yeah that's real intriguing!
I suspect Brighton have something to do with it. They are financed by a British billionaire, Tony Bloom. What they are building in terms of stadium, training and youth infrastructure is impressive. Lewes to Brighton is a no brainer if they want him.

I'm pretty sure he was aware of the backlash and he/we backed out.

On one hand I was never a fan of signing someone like him because the club need to have some self respect, you can't let an academy player go who's been with us for 15 years and sign a Woolwich fan who has publicly disrespected the club especially since you've put your fans through the mire this whole TW, read the room!

On the other hand I find it a bit sad that fans on social media has such a powerful influence and have the power to dictate a transfer like that but I guess these are the times, what I didn't like is the personal abuse aimed at him which is not on.

25M for Bentacur is good price. Hard to get lower than that.
Kulusevski has 6 months to prove himself. If he ends up being good signing 35M is good price too. If not...
Who bought these players for juve, patrici? If they are surplus to requirements at juve surely they can’t be that good. Dippers just announced Diaz £37M plus £12 add on”s. Surely if we had splashed out say £40M initial fee last week we would have got him. Instead we now spend even more on two players with dubious records and one of which in CM is not required at all. We needed a CM baller not PEH mk2. There must be questions being asked on what’s going on? Pool just come in and offer £37M and they get “out” man. What is the point of having DOF if he can’t get these deals done and all he can do is recruit from his old club!
One of them is on loan, so no, not really.

Not bothered at all by the Gil loan if that becomes official. A loan with additional playing time will do him a lot of good. Would like to see Bergwijn stay though.

I wish there was a permanent move in the works for Tanguy, but a loan with an option would be decent. At least to maybe get him playing again and find a buyer.

So that’s it then. A coulple of squad players added by the sounds of it. Nothing to get too excited by. Nothing to improve the starting 11.. So it’s carrying on with winks, PEH, and skipp in midfield then. That’s the season pretty much done I reckon, unless we get a lucky draw in the fa cup. 6/7th position finish.

I didn’t expect miracles in this window, but at least someone to improve the starting 11 would have been something to cling onto. I would have got coutinho personally . Not gonna go into a levy & Enic rant, it’s all been done to death. It is what it is.

I’m not sure how conte is going to take this to be honest. I’ve a funny feeling that we will be starting next season with a different manager. Lmao… and onwards ( not upwards we go) lol

Utter nonsense being spouted here. For one, we did offer the same amount of money to Porto that Liverpool did, and the player chose them. 2nd, Kulusevski is a player that Conte wanted at Inter and he chose Juve instead, bearing in mind that he was young player of the year in Serie A that year ahead of a certain Federico Chiesa. Bentancur is an average signing, but considering that we're getting rid of the trio of GLC, Ndombele and Dele most likely, we could use some depth in CM.
