Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was reading that traore is not getting paid by Barcelona because they are broke and they will “revise “‘the deal come the summer .
time , surely this is against the rules if they loan players they can’t afford to help them get success and thus more revenue to pay off their debts?

It's all dodgy as fuck over at Barca these days.... Shame on La Liga for letting it slide.

I'll give them a chance, but if nothing else you have admit its a bit concerning?

That's true, it's become very apparent that being 'good' in a European league will not necessarily transfer over to the EPL. Pick your own reasons for that.

Hopefully these two youngish players have what it takes with regard to fitness and mindset, you would think that after the recent big-money misses those core skills would be uppermost when Conte looked at players. He must know that's what we need, as well as ability, to make us more competitive.

Seems like somebody at the club still think's Ndombele will come good in the long term, I'd rather it was loan but with obligation to buy, but at least him and his attitude are away from the lodge for the rest of this season.

Agree a loan with obligation to buy would be better, provided the buy price is £30m+, but if Lyon won't do that the gamble is someone else will pay that in the summer

If you're allowing yourself to be mocked by a team who shirked a North London Derby, and have spent the entire window being told to fuck off by Vlahovic then that's a you problem not a me problem.
Say what you want. When it comes to our transfer issues, they unfortunately are speaking the truth. Do you think there are Non-League players turning Man City, Liverpool or Chelsea down? Do you see Man City, Liverpool or Chelsea woo-ing players for two years and then being turned down? Players fight to get into these squads. When they get in, they fight to stay.

Sadly some Spurs fans have a small fish in a big pond mentality. To them, it's 'Spursy' to be fighting for fourth place. When we end up above Woolwich on the log, we have won the league. When we win NLDs, we have won the League.

I don't mind being mocked. But when it's for the truth, it really cuts deep. Unfortunately, in this case, their mocking does cut deep.

A player who thrives on confidence definitely wouldn’t be stellar when his confidence is all that’s being severely attacked.
A progressive player who plays for Conte, Mou, and Nuno wouldn’t set the world alight I guess.
The fans and press also made a perception of him that travelled farther than the truth.
I believe this perception was greeted by Conte and he never really got a look in.
With Poch he was mostly injured that season.
Or why does Poch want him now?

Take it to the Ndombele thread, bloke...... As cringe as all the excuses are, at least they'll be on-topic there.

Nobody wants Dele. Thats shocking. Not a single club.
I don't remember another player who fell away from being one of Europe's top talents, there was a time he was considered one of Englands greatest prospects, he was doing commercials alongside elite players.

Some people believe he was just found out, I don't think that's the case, my theory is he got rich young, lost his passion for the game and just treats it as a job where he can mope around giving 50%

Real shame

Who’s ready to hit the ground running? If they take 2 months to acclimatise that’s pointless for our season.

I don’t know if there’s a quality EPL right wing back who’s going to be allowed to leave on loan.

Let’s give Emerson royal more time to settle in and do a job and properly fix this in the summer.

Big big summer coming up for both outs and ins.

Agree. We also criticize Royal for his lack of attaching proficiency, but we need to take into account that he is a fullback and has trained as such. A wingback trains differently from a full back. I would expect Royal to be better next year just on account of appropriate training.
