A player who thrives on confidence definitely wouldn’t be stellar when his confidence is all that’s being severely attacked.
A progressive player who plays for Conte, Mou, and Nuno wouldn’t set the world alight I guess.
The fans and press also made a perception of him that travelled farther than the truth.
I believe this perception was greeted by Conte and he never really got a look in.
With Poch he was mostly injured that season.
Or why does Poch want him now?
It's not Poch who wanted him at PSG, it's Leonardo. To, first, help get the Mbappe extension signed, as he & Dombs are very close mates. Second, to piss Poch off, as he really really doesn't like him...but then again Leonardo doesn't like anybody other than himself

It's a decent gamble - a player once worth 100m for just 18m - pretty much the only way is up, worst case you've wasted the cost of a mid-table squad player ...

Think Chelsea is more likely with their CL football, but maybe !!!!!!!!!!!
That all depends on wages though doesn’t it. The reason that I can’t see clubs paying anything for Ndombele - just on way too much. I think we’re heading into an era where a lot of talent around Europe will be wasted with players happy to sit on £250k+ per week. I heard Aaron Ramsey was on £400k? Beggars belief. Anyway back to Dembele, there’s definitely a class player on there. If we can get him in our wage structure he’s definitely worth trying for

Rather than seek to understand the choices and circumstances of that decision, we must instead sit only with the reality of the present day and ponder nothingness.

A right Camus we've got over here, folks.

(That's not what's going on here at all!)

FFS don't be so pompous...... None of what I started off saying was complicated (as far as I could tell we agreed upon all the component parts of this)..... I'm just trying be brief at this point because it's all become massively over-laboured.

I have caveated any opinion with the fact that I’ve not watched loads of the kid. And god knows this team needs a bit of heads up craft.

My only other concern is, does this make it more likely we play 343 rather than 352? I hope not. But then if Conte has decided his midfield options should only be water carrying functionaries then maybe that becomes moot.
Yes I think 343 is more likely with Son and Kulu playing either side of Kane.

However you could defo play 352 with him either playing off Kane or the furthest forward of a 3 in midfield (2 sitting, him advanced), maybe even as an 8. I don't think 8 is his best position mind you.

433 would be better but Conte isn't a fan obvs.

i was watching the we are tottenham stream just now

sad how many fans just give in

8/10 window they say and we shouldnt expect any better

bullshit

the funniest ones are the ones saying i wont go to the protest now don levy and paratici

The reaction to these moves shows why Levy can get away with it.

Fans are so desperate for anything at this point and the bar has been lowered so much that many will latch on to anything and prop it up as good.

The idea that someone could with a straight face try to spin this as a 8/10 window is ridiculous.
