I really don't know what to think about Bissouma. On multiple levels.

IIRC his contract is running down at this point. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the sudden noise about a transfer is because the police investigation might be resolving/pointing towards no charges. I doubt all these teams (including us) would want to buy him otherwise.
Money we offered was the same, which was why Porto accepted. Have you been under a rock?
He needs to shut the opposition attackers down if he's letting them score from there.
I don't think there is anything close to the reports on BIssouma that there are with Greenwood. I'm not saying he is innocent but it isn't as clear cut as the Greenwood situation.
I would hope that any move for Bissouma would come with a massive background check, although with this group I guess we can't expect it.

Another underwhelming TW. Last minute scrabbling for bargains. Can't see any real improvement to the team. Other teams hit their targets and we get the leftovers. Not too surprised with levy, got used to it but my initial reservations about the Parasite have been confirmed which is a depressing look into the future. Same old, same old...nothing changes
Apparently Hercules has said there are ‘positive vibes’ around his case. He spoke to the CPS and was given exclusive ITK access to his case file.
With Gio, TN & Dele on the out-list there's plenty of room.

Bentancur doesn't play the same way as Bissouma at all.
Bissouma can dominate the ball, be the guy who takes it from the back 3 and moves it through the midfield to the attackers, can move the ball out to WB's, be that deep lying playmaker in a 3-5-2 that Conte often relies on.
Bentancur make simple passes mainly sideways and back, he isn't able to control the game and can't come close to providing the necessary distribution that a player like Bissouma can.
Innocent til proven guilty and all that, but I'd still stay the eff away from Bissouma.
If you want an athletic powerhouse in the middle of the park, someone who can do it all and who wouldn't cost you 40 mil (I think), I reckon we'd be better off looking into Seko Fofana from Lens.
Yeah yeah yeah, Lens are a small club compared to Spurs, Ligue 1 is crap and he wasn't all that great at Udinese.
But these last couple seasons, he's been immense in Ligue 1. One of the very best CMs out there. He's their captain, he can pass, shoot, score, tackle...
Obviously I'd rather sign a RWB and a backup ST, but if there's any truth in Spurs still being on the lookout for a CM, then there's definitely worse options than Seko

also Brighton were linked to Dele. Rodon on a permanent and Dele on loan plus cash?
