No, it makes sense. Dele's weekly salary over those 2 years is enough to offset any transfer fee he'd be worth. People seem to underestimate how much player wages are in relation to transfer fees. Player wages are fucking expensive.

Giving him a 2.5 year deal and the details behind it should be a wake up call for Dele Alli.
