Same people who agree that our transfer strategy is a bag of shite thinks we can fill the squad up this window with adequate replacements...make it make sense please :confused:

Great that we get rid of some players that haven’t worked out and is not part of Conte’s plans, and great that we get some players that he must have requested.

But the outgoings are all 1st team players and - except Gil - have played in a lot of matches because our squad is so thin.

To go minus 2 on 1st team players in this situation would be scandalous.

We only have the league and cup to worry about. I imagine planning for the summer when competitions would require a bigger squad begins immediately.
 
Ok, Levy can obviously shampoo my balls, but these deals are pretty smart, in terms of payment structure and leaving us free to spend in the Summer (which we won’t do, but that’s a different point).

Betancur is about as cheap as you can get a bipedal footballer for, and Kulusevski really is a genuine loan. If he’s shit, we can send him back.

I can’t see us getting rid of Lo Celso now; just in terms of cover.

I don't think the window is perfect, but the club identified Lo Celso, Ndombele, and Dele as of little value to the club and got them out and is identifying replacements. I don't think we know if the two replacements will be a success yet. We know the 3 outs were not going to be. It's ridiculous to overreact like this is an amazing or terrible window because none of us know yet.

On the broader multi-window goal of ridding ourselves of the forest of deadwood the Poch collapse left us, Levy and Paratici have made loads of progress and shown a refreshing willingness to eat some money getting bad fits out.

On the immediate imperative to give Conte the squad he needs to compete for the rest of the season we're short and need to make something happen this evening.
