Depends if that flat 3 is going to be 3 flat CMs or more of a 3-4-1-2 in which we can get away with a player like lucas or kulu behind the strikers. I see your point if we go to 3 flat CMs which we've done at times, but I guess we don't know yet.

When did Ndombele, Lo Celso, or Dele ever attack and move more than a jog in 3 seasons? The window is an 8/10 alone by just getting rid of those dead weight.

Royal is a new signing so it's going to be tough to get rid of him. So if we made a panic buy at RWB this window, we'd be stuck with 2 RWBs who aren't good fits. It really sucks but I'd rather wait till summer if no one good is available IF we actually make that purchase in the summer.

It's an incredibly glaring need at the moment, so I have to believe the club has a plan.

Pretty clear Adama was our plan for RWB and when that went up in smoke we didn't really have any alternatives. It's one I do agree we need to be careful with as we've signed some absolute stinkers at RB over the last few years. Hopefully the scouting team is working overtime to identify a proper Conte choice in the summer, and we go out and spend whatever needed to bring that player in.
