Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We had a shot at top 4 this season if we had invested well this window.

Imagine the players we could have attracted in the summer with CL football and Conte on offer?

We have a shot of top 4 now.

Do you wonder why none of our top 4 rivals have 'invested' this month either (2 of them in more pressing situatuons with strikers)? Do you think that maybe they're in the same boat as everyone else and it's probably not as easy to go out there and spend willy-nilly?

why do i keep thinking we will sign dembele tonight

i normally turn it off now but theres a deal there and no way are barca keeping him i would be shocked
I don't see why he'd be worth the risk in terms of wages and injury problems.

Also he doesn't have the qualities we're deficient in. At some point we need a third proven goalscorer, a talented creative midfielder, and a RWB who can attack.

I would have hoped for more incomings given the amount of wages we've freed up because I think we're probably a bit short on quality for Top 4.

OTOH our rivals haven't done anything at all. Woolwich especially look a right state.

I admit know nothing about our new additions but I look forward to finding out more.

I'm not overjoyed but not going to meltdown. I don't have the energy to be as miserable as some people on here seem to enjoy being.

Look it just reeks. We got Conté and Levy is hoping the world's greatest manager can sneak us into fourth with sub part reinforcements (to put it kindly).

Conté may actually do it. But you can be sure he'll leave. Then where are we at? Finishing 10th next season with Nuno lite?

If you want to continue to paint negative scenarios just because it aligns with your negative mindset then be my guest.

There's more to football than signing players mate, there's no garantee of success by just merely splashing the cash, you should know that by now you're a Spurs fan.

Take a step back and look at things objectively, things aren't as bad as they seem

We’ve improved more than anyone else we’re competing with for Top 4. I wish one or two more things had broke our way, shame to lose out on Diaz and Traore but it’s Barca and Liverpool.

We’ve done alright, we’re better on Feb 1 than we were on Jan 1 and a much less bloated squad. It could be better, but it’s not bad.

Manchester United's squad is miles better than ours. Even the Woolwich cunts have a better squad.

We only have 2 reliable goalscorers, no creative mid, useless RWBs...

Because they spent hundreds of millions in the last few windows and thus aren't about to go and spend that again, whereas we spent half of that or less? United signed Sancho, Ronaldo and Varane, Woolwich brought in 4/5 first team players, Chelsea have an almost perfect squad and the same with City.

I'm relatively content with this window, it's a 5/10 for me. Not good or bad. But this false comparison with our rivals needs to stop.
