Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Pretty sure in our last few windows, we have several of our highest signings ever. They were just shit signings.

Our highest, sure. We spent 55 mill net in the last window though, that's not high. Woolwich spent 120 million net, and brought in players on higher wages as well. That's probably the closest club in terms of revenue and ability to attract talent.

I think under Jose we spent 70/80 mill, but again on low wage players. Even in the so called splurge where we signed GLC, Ndombele, Bergwijn (In jan) etc we still only spent about 75m net, and that was by far our biggest window.

We consistently spend less than our rivals, on both wages & transfers. The bigger clubs spend more than our budget on a single player like Grealish or Lukaku.

Swedish football expert and Spurs fan, with a lot more knowledge about Kulusevski than I have wants to see him converted to RWB. Maybe that is an option, this guy knows his stuff.

Do you have net spend numbers dating back the last several windows instead of nitpicking certain teams in certain windows? It's good information but just not complete unless looking at all windows.

And I'm sure you are looking at us to spend similar to Woolwich (aside from just looking at one window) or maybe close to Liverpool because we aren't going to be similar to Chelsea, United and City.

But that's because they have good players on poor form. We can't just keep hoping they won't sort it out, and actually got a top 4 standard squad ourselves.

There's no good way to spin this... if we are going to go for 3-4-3 with 2 plodders in midfield fine... but then we need a RWB who can contribute to attack. Now we have nothing.

They've been in the doldrums half the season, why do you expect them to just turn it on? Utd have a load of players that don't want to be at the club and the atmosphere is toxic, they are struggling for top 4 despite having all that talent because the squad is imbalanced.

No-one is spinning anything mate, the original arguement was that 'we don't have a chance for top 4' which is complete and utter OTT nonsense which is what i'm disagreeing with.

btw Igula Igula , I have a feeling that this guy will be a success here compared to his failings at Juventus.
From what I've read he is a hard working player with a great attitude, so Conte will be perfect for him.

However, I don't think he'll bring our team onto another level, or offer something significantly beyond Bergwijn or Lucas.

I am intrigued by him and I think if he weren't the "prize" of the window and a part of a quality window I would be more excited by him.

If he can move to the right sided MF in a 3-5-2 then I like that option more than a RW in a 3-4-3.

Saying Woolwich have a far stronger squad is being dramatic. This was their bench last game. A PL game. Imagine the melting on here.

Bernd Leno
20Nuno Tavares
21Calum Chambers
30
Substituted in

Eddie Nketiah
37Ryan Alebiousu
58Mika Miles Biereth
65Salah Oulad M'Hand
82Omari Giraud-Hutchinson
87Charlie Pati

Cheaky bid for M’Hand?

I feel like it’s time to try some M’ players instead of N’ players.
:harryhmm:

Utd need a defensive midfielder. their fans are up in arms that they won't sign one.

Woolwich don't have a striker, Aubamayeng is off to Barca, if he doesn't leave then Arteta won't play him either way they're left with nketiah and Lacazette who have 3 goals between them this season.

As for us...everyone wants a creative midfielder but don't actually realise that Conte's system creates enough chances (we had 4.9 xg against Leicester highest in the Prem this season) we've not been linked to a creative mid all window...there's a reason for that.

RWB is disappointing I agree but it's not make or break
Not that I’m disagreeing with you but Woolwich have martinelli and that lads decent up front
