Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This stuff is bogus. Just because you hit a high top speed under one condition it's not a conclusive metric. He clearly is not Son and Lucas quick. His acceleration with the ball away from an oponnet is not amazing. However he can be plenty devastating in the 10 role feeding the speedster. I'm happy with both the additions . What I really want is a proper attacking RWB a LCB Bissouma in midfield to relegate Winks or PEH and of course a Centerforward alternative to Kane.

Pace is overrated if he is going to be used as a AM by Conte. Pace without end product doesnt mean much. Lucas has plenty of pace but he rarely he makes difference in final third for the ability he has.

Kulusevski recorded 2nd most in serieA behind Brozovic on the running state averaging over 11km a game. So, first of, he doesnt stop.

Yesterdays Bergwijn chance came because he won the ball upfield due to his pressing. Kulusevski cant be deemed slow when he can harass defense and induce mistakes.

Zidane was never playing out wide in the PL so the comparison is a bit off. I really don't think Kulusevski will do particularly well long term if we have him out wide. He simply doesn't have the burst of pace that successful PL wingers possess currently. Even a player like Sancho (technically excellent, very intelligent player) has struggled with not really having that speed to consistently beat his marker 1v1, it's a big deal in England. And he's a better player than Kulusevski.

Centrally though it's not a problem, and that's where I expect him to end up. We're a bit short on competent wide players so I'm sure he'll play wide for now, but I do see him going central in his career if he wants to make the best of it.

Sancho is plenty fast. That’s not why he hasn’t adapted yet. I think ManUtd have serious problems with attitude among the players.

.....I'm not entirely convinced that Sancho isn't somewhat lacking on that front.
For me it depends what kind of fast we are talking about. I don’t have a view about how fast he is over 50 meters. I just know he is plenty quick and his feet are fantastic with the ball. If you’re quick enough and your feet firmly make the ball do what you want it to, you will get by players.

I meant attitude; not pace....

Sarfgate remains unconvinced and then of course there's the talk of certain young attackers not wanting to learn from Ronaldo this season..... Ole didn't exactly rush him into the team either.

Yeah I think he'll fill a purpose there for now (left footer on the right, fits the system) and then we'll be in for a Diaz type again in the summer if Conte is set on 3-4-3. I then would expect Kulu to move centrally with two other midfielders who do most of the leg work.

All depends on how successful he is here of course. But his skillset is definitely more suited to PL midfielder than PL winger.
How would that work?

Son - Kane - "Diaz type"

Plus Kulu and two more CMs?

Conte is not using a back 4.

Kulusevski in midfield when we play 3-5-2, then on the bench/as a squad option for 3-4-3, with the Diaz type starting those games. But you're right, I did forget we're so wedding to a back 3. I would like to see Kulusesvki as a third man in midfield alongside two more defensive minded midfielders though.

What does "rekt" actually constitute?

A cross following the ball ricocheting to his feet..... Or was there a genuine highlight reel?

He was the best player on the pitch in a game between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Make of that what you will I guess. He did the usual thing where he absolutely just owns his flank and defenders look shit scared of him, and (shock horror!) Barcelona looked better as a team for it.

He would've been fucking brilliant for us as a RWB.

It was a genuine question.... The reason I asked is cos I'd already seen a clip of his assist that had begun to garner OTT hype.

Seems clear enough to me that he wasn't particularly interested in coming here so I'm not gonna waste time and emotion pining for him..... Just not my style. (Ditto Diaz as and when the same predictably ensues regarding him.....)
