Chelsea will be fine. They’re a legitimately massive club now with a huge income, supplemented by the massive amount they get from their academy farming. They don’t even spend huge amount in net terms these days because of that.
Abramovich still gives them new loans fairly frequently.

They still "owe" him roughly £1.5bn, and they have 40k capacity stadium instead of a 62k one.

Not having the oligarch would mean playing by the same rules as us, that give us a much better chance of overhauling them.

It's all hypothetical anyway, Bojo will protect Roman's assets.

Oh fucks sake can we have an actual alarm that goes off when some village ejit that can't watch football post some crap about buying James useless Tarkowski. For the final time he's shit , he's always been shit and he will never ever ever play for a club with aspirations of champions league football.

I'm sorry I lost my temper, his name has that effect on me. I'd take Maehle in a heart beat.
You need to get out more.

I can’t see Tarkowski coming here to be on the bench and he isn’t good enough to start.

He is a massive upgrade over Dier but we need better than either guy.

Spursidol Spursidol . Think before you speak. And stop being so Arrogant and Condescending. It's because of Idiots like you and Adolph Hitler that people go to war. Thinking your opinion is better than others.

Point 1 - I was speaking about the offer before the Villa Takeover. Not the 25 million bid. If you need you memory jogged

On point 2 & 3 - I didn't say Traore didn't prefer Barcelona. I knew he went there for Christmas and I knew he probably had talks with Barca. What I did say, Daniel Levy Haggling for two weeks and trying to shave off 5 million on the price, left enough time for Agent, Player and Club to play the field. Had Levy payed what was asked, he would have immediately known Traore wasn't interested. Levy haggled for 3 weeks (excluding the seasons before), Barca completed transfer in 3 days.
The same applies for Diaz. Levy haggled for 6 Days, Liverpool completed transfer in 2 days.

If a player is wasting your time, offering what is asked quickly get you to realise that. That way you don't leave it so late that you don't manage to get what you were aiming for. Then again Levy is always aiming for nothing. Poch, Jose and now Conté have made that clear.

Point 4 - I never claimed we should purchase any expensive striker. I've always maintained getting a seasoned, end of his career striker without huge transfer costs would suite us better. I actually hoped we could poach the likes of Lewendowski at the end of his contract. I'm sure we could give it a try to sign him as a free agent.

Lastly, I've never said Kulu or Benta are not worthy of being bought. What I did say, and Conté agrees, is that they are coming from Juventus bench to joining a EPL Club. It will take time to get them fully ready for regular starts. At that stage, not much was known about them and it is proven players from other leagues, generally battle to play themselves in. Maybe I'm proven wrong and they burst in the scene but it's a risk as we had taken with Tangy, Gil and Lol Celso that didn't pay off.

Lastly, I pride myself treating every man on his own merit. Despite being from, what you seem to perceive, an illiterate South Africa. I will not generalise, I've gotten to know many Great Englishman. I think most of you are cool.

I think it's you that should get off the couch in Mom's basement, go upstairs to the kitchen and give her a mighty big talking to for raising an Arsehole like you.

Obviously that was a fantasy, but still, I'm so sorry...don't know what happened to me there, mate!

I started dreaming about spending money on players, sorting all our issues out etc...but now I've emerged and realised I'm a Spurs fan

Ha ha I swear I thought of you when I put him on the list 😂

Tarks is no Bonucci, for sure, but I don't think he's as bad as some make him out to be. He can't pass or bring the ball out of defense the way even a Dier can...but he does work hard at the back and knows how to keep it tight, good tactically, never afraid to go in for a challenge, decent header of the ball, got great stamina...and at 29, he's got lots of PL experience and maturity. Plus he's HG.

So if we needed to bring in cover for Eric and Rom, someone who can pick up the load in a few PL games and also do a job in Cup comps, I think we could do a lot worse than Tarks, especially if - as per my fantasy - we could get him on loan. Looks like an upgrade on Rodon to me.

Why do you rate him as shit? What don't you like about him?

The benefit of Tarkowski is that he can cover both CB LCB. I’d see sense in signing him but I’d still want a more dynamic LCB in. That then thought leaves us needing to shift at least 2, maybe even 3 of the current 6 (I personally think that 2 for each of the 3 CB positions is overkill, and the 5 players to cover 6 spots is ideal).

He's having a really good season, that's for certain. His performance against us wasn't an isolated incident, he's had plenty such eye-catching games.

Indeed he's left-footed but plays at RCB cause Saiss is also a leftie but far less comfortable on his wrong foot.

Quite the fan of the kid, he's big & strong, not afraid of putting a meaty tackle in, he can run, dribble, pass...his futsal background also means he's got pretty good technique and is used to repeating high intensity efforts. And at 24, he's got a bit of maturity too.

I'd defo be keen, though he wouldn't come cheap. And he was born in Chelsea, that's a big minus 🤣
His father is Russian and his mother is Ukrainian so maybe he's doesn't feel so attached to that uppety place after all
