Wing backs are said to be a weakness at Spurs - and probably since we had Rose and Walker.

Tonight we saw Reguilon score, Kulusevski get 2 assists and Doherty get an assist...... not sure Sessegnon gets the assist for an own goal ! But involvement in all 5 goals.

I know Everton were a soft target but we can see how Conte is trying to get them to play - and a goal and 3 assists (could have been 4 assists) tonight is a very good return from wing backs.
Kulusevski wasn't playing wing back but yes it was a good return from the wing backs.

Calvert lewin would be decent back up if/when Everton go down, even if they didn't I reckon it'd be worthy a bid

He's pretty damn basic tbh..... Not worth the money he'd cost.

+ Consigning himself to our bench would completely kill his England career and allow Toney & Watkins to leapfrog him. Doubt he'd want that.

Kinda hope Arse go big on him in the summer rather than see them score someone better.

My god England better hope Kane stays fit and in his prime for fucking years to come. I guess the hopes were on Mason Greenwood to take up that mantle until ... well, you know.

Foden as false 9 maybe?

Those lads are alright as #2's I'd say (as is Ings; though I think age is no longer on his side). Do any countries have two top STs? .....Not that I can think of.

Maybe the future is Ettete? :levywhoa:

Two top ones no .. but that's one elite one and then a bunch of mid-table level strikers. The drop off is huge, especially when Kane is outright England's best player anyway. They'd be in serious trouble if he got injured.

I think you play a more fluid front 3, maybe with Sterling through the middle, or Rashford.

Still as good if not better than most have got.

Mbappe/Benzema/Giroud is obv. the best depth, but 2 of the worlds best STs play for shit teams anyway.

Think back not too long ago and some would have said Rashford was 1a to Kane's #1 and his eventual successor....... He's struggled for consistency for a couple of years now tho (although generally proving a little over-hyped).... I think a move would be good for him, but the only step is down for the time being unless he has a massive renaissance at a new club.

So a Adama Traore deal could be back on 😁

Barcelona admit they may have to give up on Adama Traore after signing Wolves star on loan

BARCELONA president Joan Laporta has admitted they may not be able to keep Adama Traore beyond the end of the season.
The Spain international, 26, returned to the Nou Camp for a second spell in January - on loan from Wolves until the summer.

And he has hit the ground running with the Catalan giants, providing four goals in his first seven games.

Yet despite an electric return to the club, Barca president Laporta has his doubts about being able to sign the winger on a permanent deal.

He said: “We’d love Adama Traore to stay here, it’s possible - but we’re in a difficult financial situation.

"We’ll see at the end of the season."

Back in February, Laporta confirmed that Traore took a pay cut in order to come back to Barcelona.

He said: “We’ve an option to buy clause included into Adama Traore deal with Wolves and our plan is to trigger that clause.

"It’s on him - he made a great effort [on salary] to play here at Barca."

He looked set to join Spurs earlier in the window but a deal fell through after a disagreement between the player and Tottenham boss Antonio Conte.

According to reports, Traore wanted to be considered a winger by Conte.

But the Italian coach was keen on him occupying the right wingback role in his 3-4-3/3-5-2 set-up.

And that proved to be a stumbling block for the two parties as Traore closed a deal with Barcelona instead.

His existing contract with Wolves runs until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

Igula Igula Our squad is so far off being competitive, this is the sort of radical changes we would need to even be competitive. Not going to happen though.
This isn't football manager 🤣. 9 signings and winks still in the squad. Peh is a much better player than winks. McNeil is not a wing back and has a really poor season. Reggie is better. Is raphinha that much of an upgrade on kulusevski?

Barca big cheese: "We're back in the big-time, baby..... Haaland and all that....."

Also: "....We'll just struggle to pay a player like Traore and meet his 'massive' 30m trf fee"

🤡

AKA they don’t think it’s worth buying him because he’s not good enough. Imagine we got him instead of kulusevski 🤮
