Think he'd do well there honestly. I don't think he's a bad player, he's just most definitely not a RWB.
The thin nature of our squad consistently fucks us. We need to buy more than we sell. Nothing wrong with keeping Dier, Davies, Lucas, etc. around for depth and utility while buying better talents to move ahead of them.

The problem you have with those 3 is they all have 2 years left on their contracts and i'm not sure they warrant a new one. So if we dont sell this summer we could end up selling for peanuts next summer or them going for nothing the year after. I'd certainly sell Moura if we can.

Then sell them for peanuts or let them walk. If keeping them means a squad deep enough to win the FA Cup, make a deep CL run, and qualify for the CL again then it will far more than offset any lost transfer revenue they could generate. And it give you longer to turn over the squad.
Rather sell them and buy replacements - Paratici did well with the two Juve buys…. Both far more useful than Lucas who would attract a higher sale price

My player-by-player take:
Dier: Renew.
Davies: Stays and he can leave for free at 30 y/o (we've had massive bang for his modest fee anyway).... Perhaps extend for another year if he's keen to stay.
Lucas: One of him or Berg can leave ONLY if we're planning on bringing a significantly better player in.

Sell to buy leaves us with the same thin squad issues we have every season. Thats my point. By all fucking means, buy replacements. Nothing wrong with those three being bench and utility options. They can all function in multiple roles which elevates their usefulness as squad players. Keeping them doesn't mean they need to be fixtures in the first XI. But selling them means we're still fucked trying to compete in too many competitions with a thin squad.
