The obvious position is 2nd GK as I doubt if we will buy Gollini who is on loan - Sam Johnstone out of contract at WBA, plays for England as does Nick Pope (Burnley who might be relegated) and unlikely but worth a try if he will force a move Dean Henderson who rarely plays at ManU but locked into a 5 year contract.

After that its more tricky to find quality HG at a decent price (unless PL club are skint and need to sell), so we might need to buy youngsters from Championship clubs such as Hull and E u21 winger Keane Lewis-Potter, Boro Djed Spence et al - need to registered as HG in uefa squads although might be u21's in PL.

Also need to see how we can get academy lads enough experience to be candidates over next year or two - current likely prospects include Harvey White, Troy Parrott and Kion Etete although obviously not a given they will succeed in getting to PL standard - and Andy Devine and Dane Scarlett longer term

As you say, we've got empty HG spots that are going unused. Which, to me, means recruiting players for roles where we need depth as we can look at these slots as additions to our paper thin squad and not 1 for 1 replacements in the squad. Haven't really heard much about Aarons lately (and rarely watch anything outside of Spurs these days, in truth) but that does seem to be the sort we should be looking at. Or bringing KWP back?

No, a player I have watched quite a lot. Lovely passer and can score wonder goals but limited mobility, would give us many of the same issues Ndombele gave us. For me a YouTube player and a player Lecister fans criticise a lot.

Not sure that's correct - Ndombele's biggest issue was that he was never capable of playing 90 minutes in a match (I think he only played 90 minutes in just 9 PL matches in 2 and a half years) and whilst he did a few very good tricks, most of the time he seemed to walk round.

Tielsmans would be a huge upgrade on Ndombele and I think capable of playing in a CM2 with Bentancur, Hojbjerg or Skipp being more creative than any of them - not as creative as Eriksen but few players are.

Almost every game I have seen him
this season his defensive contribution hasn’t been good enough, letting runners go or past him. Conte likes players that are ace defensively in midfield hence why Hojbjerg, Bentancur and Skipp have been top dog. I just don’t see him fitting under Conte.

Aarons was much talked about but doesn't seem to have developed much, and unless Conte thinks he can coach him to be a better player he's going to remain as an 'ok' player - I think KWP is a better and more versatile player as he can cover both RWB and LWB. Whether player would want to come back s another question as he must gave been very frustrated at getting a couple of MoTM awards yet only played a handful of matches in the 3 seasons he was in Spurs first team squad.

But agree filling the empty HG spots would add extra players to the squad and really help out squad depth.

fair enough.

I like the Bentancur, Skipp and Hojbjerg options we have but ideally would like to find one with slightly more creativity if possible - and the added attraction of Tielsmans is he knows PL

Apparentely this is the guy who would fit, anyone seen him play?

Schlotterbeck and Hakimi would be the two players I'd sign in a dream transfer window. Think I first watched Schlotterbeck last summer for the German u21's and mentioned him on here at the time, and he's gone from strength to strength ever since. Looks an absolutely superb player. Assume he's Bayern bound to be honest.

Maybe we are looking at him as a back up striker who has the ability to play in a three in the wide position.

Yeah I get that, it just seems an odd move for him. He's a squad player for Barcelona but still getting a decent amount of time on the pitch, so why change that for being a squad player at Spurs? Unless we're willing to give him a wage hike.

Just seems an odd one. As a depth player he'd be useful but I don't think he's the kind of player who will accept that role.

I would personally prefer if we bring an experienced striker rather than a young one who wants to play a lot. With Kane only Llorente worked. Vinicius and Janssen failed. Depay would be something in the middle, could work.

Wouldn't be against it if we signed Pukki or Belotti. More experienced strikers would fit better.
Sorry, but Llorente was shite. Apart from the occasional, and at times important, bundling of the ball over the line in a messy six yard box scenario, he gave us fuck all.

Kane is so versatile that a quality striker can be accommodated with Kane - as a rotation option but also as a system change option where Kane drops deeper.

Bringing KWP back would be great but Levy would have to pay double the price he sold him for, his ego would never allow that.
