What a horrible fucking club Madrid are, a complete circus, them the supporters the pro Madrid media are just a bunch of cunts, Bale hasn't covered himself in glory at Real but he doesn't deserve this sort of abuse by what's meant to be professional journalists.

I‘m not really sure what’s gone on, but I saw his post on Twitter calling out the press. I gather he’s been labelled a parasite or something because he scored for wales last night?

Think we'd need another goalscorer for the front three.. not a guaranteed starter, but somebody to chip in with 7-10 goals. Or for Bergwijn to kick on in a way you'd have to deem unlikely at this stage.

Also doubt we'll contend seriously for a title with Sess/Reg at lwb.
I'm worried about that too. Not that it's inconceivable for them to put in solid performances mind.

But the idea of getting a rwb, lcb AND a lwb just seems too farfetched.

The media have been getting at him for ages, they called him a parasite and for the club to sack him after he scored for Wales and are salty that some dickhead called Florentino perez made a massive mistake and gave him £600k a week.

One journalist called him a parasite for not being able to play the Classico but being fit enough to play for Wales. and another one went at him for scoring twice for Wales but not being available for Madrid.

Realistic dream summer

LCB - Pau Torres (offload GLC in the process)
RB - Dream - Hakimi - more realistic, Livramento or Lamptey or Singo
CM - Kalvin Philips. Home grown great player, hopefully get a good fee for Ndombele
FW Raphina or Nkuku

Been following Antony @ Ajax for awhile. 22 year-old from São Paulo. He's a left-footer who plays RW for Ajax, but can also play LW.

I'm not sure there's all that much of a difference in level between him and Bergwijn, but if Bergwijn is looking for a move to get first-team action to make the Dutch WC squad, perhaps there's some reciprocity for a swap deal of some sort...

"Woolwich, Chelsea and Tottenham told next Brazilian star is ready for Premier League transfer"

Transfer News: Ajax winger Antony just like Raphinha and Aston Villa's new recruit Philippe Coutinho has shown his potential on the international stage, which has prompted calls for Premier League clubs to take notice.

If we're really to make a push for a trophy next season a move like splashing out for Hakimi is really the way to signal it. No more half measures.

Make a move or two like that (Torres + Hakimi would be immense with Romero) and I think it has the domino effect of getting the best out of Kane. He'd see the genuine intent and it would light his fire I reckon.

Doesn't have to be Hakimi mind. I just think there's something to be said for a statement signing. Much like how getting Conte felt like a real moment. Get one or two players who are the opposite of unknown quantities. Classy winners. And that will help us a lot mentally.
If Hakimi is seriously unhappy then nothing to say that chucking NDombele and Emmerson (Brazilian international right back remember despite not setting the world alight here) could make it financially doable.

Don’t expect it to happen but if he’s a big Conte fan maybe….just maybe 🙏🏽

The first two would see us challenge for the title with no injuries

The Leeds divs wouldn’t get in our best 11

To reach title challenge level?!

Think we would need to qualify for the Champions League then sign;

LCB
CB
RWB x2
LWB
CM
R/L FW
ST

But they would all need to be high quality players.
Probably 250 - 300m worth.

For me, only Lloris, Romero, Son & Kane would hold their own in one of the title challenging sides - which is the level of quality we would require. (Possibly Bentancur)
Agree!

Bale in the summer is a no brainer. Loves the club, free transfer and needs to stay fit for the world cup.

Sure, he can't play every week, but there would be no better super sub in world football.

A fantastic opportunity for him to rebuild his reputation and help us to our first trophy of the era.

Interesting one there. On one hand if he's free and on realistic wages then having his talent and winning mentality around should be a big plus. And he scores goals which is something we need massively.

On the other hand if he's essentially using us as a gym membership for Wales then I might be a little worried that that attitude could permeate within the squad. Would he do as told if Conte said to push it to the limit?

Being club trained/home grown and a big commercial positive is the other factor. We can effectively have Bale without him counting against the 17 (which is tight for Europe). Post World Cup, he could be very useful if fit. But will we actually be able to offer him the games in the run up?

We won't have the depth to challenge Chavs, Dips & Shitty; but if we successfully make the 3 key upgrades to our starting XI that most agree on and combine it with 1st class management we're a match for anyone on the day.

In the same way that Conte always talks in term of challenging for the title, so did Poch.....

If pushing for the title amounts to sustained top 4 or higher and an FACup or EL trophy then project Conte will have been a success and we should be in good shape for whoever comes next.
Don't need to plan for depth especially if no European football next season, can just focus on building an invincible first XI like title-winning Leicester team had, focus on league and worry about depth in subsequent seasons
