Some of the fans where singing Levy out in the stadium, other fans where turning on one another, Conte has made people forget how toxic it was about to become. The dodgy manager search and ESL still in peoples minds, the club was going into a nasty place.

Conte saved Levy and arguably the fans mental health as well while fixing our players. The job he has done is crazy for such a short time. Shows just what a truly elite manager brings. It’s mental and it shows the manager has to be the main man at any football club. Not the players like at United or PSG.

100%. Levy had made things super toxic & conte has saved him really. We were going nowhere until conte started working the miracle he was taking about we needed.
As you say, the manager needs to be the main man not the moody, ego ridden players.
Yeah psg & United need to get rid of these toxic players to improve.

Also football & the mood & atmosphere can change very quickly for better or worse.
Another reason why I think these days you need to cash in whilst it’s going well. We missed that boat with poch, hopefully levy doesn’t make the same mistake with conte.
With the feel good factor conte has brought us, Kane looks back to his best & suddenly it looks like we could keep him for another few years. If nuno was still here things would be so toxic now.

Look at Liverpool pre Klopp, even City pre Pep despite their vast wealth. The manager is what enables a team to grow and become something great.

Look at the times we had under Jol, Redknapp and Poch then compare than to Santini, past it Jose, Nuno and AVB. Difficult to do anything without a suitable manager and it just makes me smile we got Conte. Fuck knows what we did to get him, Paratici kissing his arse or Levy saying money is coming your way but wow it’s night and day.
 
I think today's performance wasn't "conteball", there some elements of his passing patterns, but our wingbacks were hopeless and we struggled to play through a press. We can do that at a slower pace like against Everton and co, or when Villa was gassed in the second half.

There's a HUGE potential for improvements if we can get a top CM and two quality wingbacks.

I think you understand Conte perfectly. Sometimes he is unpleasant but with him you really see the contribution of a coach. For other coaches, I honestly have the impression that if you replace them with a puppet, nothing changes. He, on the other hand, is like a hurricane that enters the players' heads. If Levy supports him he remains to fight for the first place. PSG and Manchester United are currently soulless places hostages of capricious players.

tbh, it's not just about Conte.

We had horrendous start with the Kane saga, Romero missed bascially entire first half of the season, the impact of that is absolutely massive.

Then we got Kulu and Benta in Jan, and without them even Conte would have struggled.
